@DGlaucomflecken Yup. My bf, now husband, had a one in a million staph infection between the layers of his spinal cord. It would have been catastrophic financially for us had it not been a month before his 25th birthday and was thus still covered by his father’s health insurance. HUGE bill.

One yr my appendix decided to finally rupture fully during July.
My surgeon was an ass; his resident (?) led rounds bright and early was no better and ignored me/my questions.
My nurses were THE BEST and my ADVOCATES. They pulled me thru 🥲❤️🏆
