Looking more and more like VA Dems will have blown $100 million and all their political capital, only to deeply alienate all of Virginia outside the urban cores. Sure they can retaliate against SCOVA later, but there won't be much point as the damage will already be done.

nobody wants to make predictions on how SCOVA will rule but I will they'll strike down the referendum by 5-2 the two dissents will be the two justices that VA Dems would otherwise retaliate against, leaving them with no targets to vent their anger on

I'm deeply concerned about the Secret Service's inability to ACTUALLY SHOOT would be assassins. . . And at relatively close range. I want to know how much practice is being put in on the range and on the course.

The Justice here doesn't appear to know who called the Special Session that resulted in the proposed amendment, which is concerning. But appellee's counsel argues, excellently, that an amendment requires only a 1/3 + 1 vote to block the special session. But since the special session was proposed to deal with a budget issue, it was not shut down. Once in that special session, they chose to propose an amendment to the Constitution, which only required a majority vote. So they tricked them into a 2/3 vote for a Special Session to address a budget issue and then rope-a-doped into an amendment. Insane.
