@CorpusCol @PhillyFanLife I don’t care about whatever logic/excuse they’ve used for years but schwarber should be the protection behind Harper and the threat of driving him in when he hits the ball out of the park. Never seen a team with a HR hitter like this refuse to hit him cleanup

@PhillyFanLife 4-4 with no RBIs and no Runs scored. Everyone behind him is so useless that his main role is to force people to pitch to Harper.

@rydunleavy At that point they can just wait out another team eventually becoming wr needy, only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Get into the preseason and odds are you find someone willing to give up a pick in 2028. Pats couldn’t risk that

AJ Brown is still a very good player Someone explain to me why #patriots gave up 1st rounder if everyone knew thats where A.J. wanted to be and supposedly no one else was making a big offer? Why wouldnt they say, ‘Heres a 3. Take it or stay with the unhappy player’
Mike Garafolo@MikeGarafolo

A.J. Brown had 339 catches for 5,034 yards and 32 TDs in 62 regular-season games with the #Eagles over four years. In eight playoff games, he had 28 catches for 334 yards and 3 TDs, two of which came in his two Super Bowl appearances.

Dave Dombrowski should be embarrassed that he came back with this lineup. The only person who should be more embarrassed is John Middleton for either allowing him or not willing to spend to better it Same with Kepler, how was Middleton talked into a $10 million check for Garcia, $15 million for JT? Horrendous. $25 million checks for those 2 players.

Joe Rogan: “I talked to Tim Dillon today… He told me that gas is $7.90 a gallon in LA right now.” Brendan Schaub: “And that's down from what it was. I was out there a month shooting a commercial and it was up to $8.40 something.” Joe Rogan: “Here's what I don't understand. Are we getting oil from Iran?... So are they just f*cking us in the a$$?” “Or is it global prices went up because some of the gas can’t get to where it needs to go, and so they need to make that money so they just f*ck you. Isn’t it funny? They’re like, we’re going to make money no matter what. The American people are going to lose money so we make the same amount of money. F*ck you, you need oil.” “[Oil executives are] a bunch of crooks. We should have a national oil company and only sell in America. Keep it in house so no matter what foul sh*t we do outside the in the world [prices don’t go up].” “Even though U.S. is the largest oil producer, companies can sell oil on the global market to whoever pays the highest price. High world prices still translate into high domestic gas prices.” “Hey, Mr. President, please fix that.”

@aidan_34_powers @PhillyFanLife The commanders are Harris’ shiny new toy, the devils and flyers are merely money making operations at this point once he had a window to save money, he threw Morey through it. And while im no Morey fan,I think he just found a trade He could argue but we all knew it was shit.

In a playoff series where OG doesn’t play and KAT was in foul trouble, the Knicks STILL had a 25-6 bench advantage It’s so cut and dry who’s to blame on this one It felt like Daryl Morey lost his job at the deadline and tonight sealed it

@thomasrp93 After he basically said he was over the Super Bowl in 48 hours, it was clear his performance alone is what he’s focused on. Maybe worried about his stats and what’s necessary to have a hall of fame level career. Was clear last years offense wasn’t getting him there.

The entire AJ Brown discourse still feels incredibly surreal to me. - All Pro multiple times - Super Bowl champ - A huge star in eyes of the fans - Record WR contract If he indeed is traded, i need to know where the hell things went wrong. #Eagles

@tagryn101 @PhillyPMC There’s no “improving” this team at this point. You have to move Embiid for some garbage expiring deal or 2 as many future firsts as you can get, and start building around Maxey and VJ with hopefully money to spend next year and year after.

@PhillyPMC On the other hand, without the HOU 1st there would be no options to meaningfully improve the team this offseason, while Joel & PG got another year older. If they believed the post-injury McCain was what they were going to be getting, it did make a kind of sense, albeit a gamble.

@sergeanttheodor @SaraForTexLege I’m talking about federal taxes rates both income and corporate, which actually produce revenue. Roughly 19% before Reagan took office, and back up to 20% under Clinton, after every Republican tax cut it drops to 14-16% range. 19-20% rate would have eliminated most deficits

If there is ever a social phenomenon that needs to be studied, it is how the GOP has been able to hoodwink people for decades into thinking that they the party of “fiscal responsibility” when there is absolutely ZERO evidence to support that claim. And I mean ZERO.
Jake Sherman@JakeSherman

CBO says the Senate Republicans' new reconciliation bill will increase deficits by $71.7B over the next 10 years. That's what the bill costs, so that makes sense. cbo.gov/system/files/2…

@Liberty_Ballers Maybe if they had another guard to mix into the rotation to spell Maxey and VJ. Unfortunately can’t do anything with the 22nd pick in the next draft during a playoff run. Bravo Morey!

@LarrymillerIA @sergeanttheodor @SaraForTexLege But also for the record what you said is completely untrue. Clinton’s first budget in 93 cut spending by 250 billion over 5 year period that paired with taxes raise was to reduce the deficit by 500 billion over same period. In 92 the deficit was 290 billion, by 94 was 200.

@dabirds83 @sergeanttheodor @SaraForTexLege Clinton had no interest in reigning in spending until the Republicans took control of Congress in 1994 and to his, and their credit made government work halfway decent for a while, remember it was Clinton that declared, "the era of big government is over".

@LarrymillerIA @sergeanttheodor @SaraForTexLege I’ve hard all these bullshit excuses for years of why or how he did it. Bush and Trump have had a Republican Congress and done nothing but explode the deficits and debt so that narrative is a bit comical.

@PaulHudrick @Liberty_Ballers At this point they would have been better off losing game 7 with Embiid trade value at the highest it will ever be. Now good luck with that, can’t wait to hear his complaint when sixers fans cash out and the arena is all Knicks fans with a almost assured 0-2 lead.

First thought is you just feel for Joel Embiid. Guy is doing everything he can to play. Second thought is I have no idea how the Sixers can win a game at MSG with their current center situation. Stranger things have happened, but this is an uphill battle to say the least.

Today I put $85 worth of fuel in the van, and it barely moved over the half tank mark. Then I spent $450 on two carts worth of groceries. Now, tonight, I hear elected Republicans telling me the price of gas and groceries is dropping. Are folks really dumb enough to believe this?

Rob Thomson had a good run as manager, seems like a great guy and was not the only issue, clearly. But the team plays terrible fundamental baseball, makes an insane number of mental errors in the field and the base paths, and looks checked out. If that's not on the manager I don't know what is. Sometimes coaches and managers just run their course and the locker room/clubhouse stops responding and that is what happened here. They're not a 100 win team but they also shouldn't be the worst team in baseball.

@HMZZZaZ @JoelWBerry I hope you’re right, Unfortunately the people u talking about sit in the independent/center/center right-center left portion of the country and we have little to no sway over either of the parties by and large. Especially when it comes to actual candidates we have to choose from.

Yes. This is the problem I see as well. Then, we get so ingrained in our ways of thinking that we choose reputable sources that just reiterate our views instead of those who tell us the truth, whether we like it our not. I don't think it's impossible. I believe the American people, for the most part, still have some discernment & intelligence, though a large part of it is our darned stubborn & independent nature. My hope is that this mindset we are currently in trends out & soon. That it goes the way of pet rocks, & parachute pants, though parachute pants were cool. The truth is, a lot of people are fed up with it, especially younger viewers. The problem is they younger gen is gravitating towards maniacs like Carlson & Candace & conspiracy inc because, well, they're young, they don't have the wisdom to spot things yet. Plus, they've been raised in a moment of lies & some conspiracies that were proven true & nonsense It's just very dangerous & very concerning in the meantime. Thanks for the discussion. It was elucidating & enjoyable.

@HMZZZaZ @JoelWBerry There’s no money in doing what you’re suggesting so unfortunately I don’t see any way out. It’s up to the American populace to educate themselves and based on the average intelligence and ability to actually seek out and find reputable sources I’d say it’s essential impossible

@dabirds83 @JoelWBerry That's my question. I apologize if I weren't clear. How do we get out of it? They can & have been held accountable by viewership, money, lawsuits, but it continues. So ,my quandry is, what is the way out? Opinion or not.

@dabirds83 @JoelWBerry I'm considering all of them. Fraudulent coverage is fraudulent coverage. We should care about the principals of the mater & the truth, not which 'side' looks good or bad. That is why we're in this awful mess. Facts matter. Period.
