The idea was to have a small 24/7 running plex server separate from my existing huge plex media server , outside my local network which I can access anytime away from my dorm using Tailscale - the adguard and DNS settings are immaculate - everything loads so much faster now.

I set up proxmox on my old AMD laptop w 20gigs of ram and 512 SSD-enough to separate the containers to run a 200 gigs photo cloud for Immich& 200 for plex outside my local network-it’s all setup w Tailscale and I can remote ssh from my phone too - I’m so proud of this endeavor.

I will document my entire Proxmox journey since last week in a bit-I was very lethargic about posting my entire progress considering it was so much work ahhh-my server finally has Adguard installed ,a working plex,Minecraft and Immich server all running in their own containers.

The entire process of me breaking my bootloaders and BIOS’ over and over and over again including adding port forwarding rules,network restrictions filtering without an external Ethernet port ruined me lol-CLAUDE&GEMINI ftw-incredible pieces of tech - couldn’t have done it w/o em
