@UmpScorecards ABS is wrong. And this is why AI regulation is badly needed. At the upcoming meeting on Rules Committee, as a retired big league umpire, my vote will be to get rid of ABS in 2027.

It's just something that will never, ever cease to impress me. Typically, bigger players at the top of the draft are picked because of their floors & oftentimes have much lower ceilings than their shorter, more skilled counterparts. Forwards aren't exempt from this, either.

There's something to be said about the consistency with which NHL GMs select hulking, defensive defensemen in the top 10 of drafts over their smaller, higher-skilled counterparts.
