It was an honour to bear witness to an historic event today, with the transfer of the traditional lands of the Lekwungen People at Rock Bay from BC Hydro back to the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. These lands will bring prosperity for the next seven generations. #reconciliation

On this day, I am also reminded of the efforts of @CIP_ICU and other allied associations in advocating for the return of the long form census, which was removed in 2011 but reinstated in 2016. Reliable information is key in helping to making sound policy decisions. 2/2

Happy Census Day! It should be a national holiday for planners! I am impressed with the dialogue surrounding the data, and how it helps in the meaningful discussions towards building more sustainable, inclusive communities across the country. 1/2

(1/5) 👐 Dear #YYJ riders, we're listening – thank you for being open, honest and patient with us. We sincerely apologize for the temporary removal of printed schedules at bus stops across the #VictoriaBC region.

The removal of the printed transit timetables is a giant step backwards towards equity and inclusion. Not everyone has the privilege to be able to afford a mobile phone and a data plan. Unless there is a move to provide real-time data at each bus stop, please do better @BCTransit
