Will say it again, you can’t pay a max contract for a 27 year old who has never been an all star, probably never will be in the Western Conference and who has had 3 straight years of performance issues in the playoffs. Sorry, but this is the recipe for teams that don’t win championships. It’s practically a Trae Young contract.

@DOC323123 whats crazy is AR is better than both these players, slight overpay for sure, but hes still worth imo, hes improved each year as a pro and showed All Star/ All NBA capabilities before his 1st of 3 calf strains this year. Wouldnt have wanted him to walk for nothing.

I wish they could have gotten to 160/4 In line with guys like Bane and Garland, still a lot of money. But I guess the Lakers felt pressure + he’s just incredibly popular with the players, coaches, and FO so I guess they felt good about it

@PlayoffDude Never had a doubt of him signing with the Lakers, this also doesnt do anything to the cap. Id be more worried about what they sign Lebron and Rui too if they plan on keeping them both. Getting Bron and Rui for a combined 30-35 million which isnt likely would do wonders for LA.
