1/ NEW: The net zero economy is now supporting:
✅Over 1m jobs

This analysis from @CBItweets is a reminder that net zero is a great British success story. And exactly why this Government is doubling down.

@Se_Railway@David_Friend01 Wonderful grammar. Something to be applauded. Though I wonder if the subjunctive might have been your friend. “Were that the heating was on “. Could have been thr most educational sentence.
A big thanks to @Se_Railway for keeping the heating on in this morning’s heavily delayed, heavily overcrowded service. The sheen of sweat on everyone is giving us all a delightfully glamorous glow…

@MatthewPFirth Clearly a change in archbishop of which I was not aware. Please can you be clear that you are a bishop in a sect church and you’re not in the Church of England.
Giving thanks today on the 800th anniversary of the canonisation of York’s patron saint, and one of my predecessors as Bishop here, St William of York.
I bought my wife a diamond bracelet for her 50th birthday. I got it in an auction for £2k and had it valued at £5k. She never wore it in a year so I replaced it with a replica that cost £200 and sold it for cash.
@decani1 Hi Christopher, extensive planning goes into running our services during engineering work and often where possible this happens, but it isn't always possible to do so when more trains than usual are using some lines or stations, apologies if your journey was impacted today ^VC
@Se_Railway why weren’t we notified that the 8.18 from Rochester to Cannon Street was cancelled and why? I’m on here and on your WhatsApp channel; no word on either platform.
@charliebelllive Thank you Charlie. You lay the issues out clearly but sadly I can’t see the naysayers ever changing position if a culture of must is continued. There is a lack of willingness from the bishops to lead on this issue among many.
Some thoughts on the current delay tactics on same-sex blessings, and the lack of compassion at the heart of those discussions

@TrisOsborneMP@MedwayTories This is a somewhat partisan conversation. The reality is that there should be more freedom for local government to set budgets and local taxation such that they are judged on the delivery of services against the taxation the local populous will wear. The system is broken .
I worked for a newspaper group for years. Faced with a round of redundancy, I knew that my time was up. On my own in the office one day, I cleared out all of the old, no longer used cameras. Sold them online, made a tidy sum and it softened the blow of redundancy.
The far right now wants to strip citizenship from and expel non-white citizens from their countries. Kikel is open about it in Austria, much of the AFD - which @JDVance and @elonmusk back - favour it. And the chat is starting in Britain too.
'It will not be ok in 2025 to hide behind excuses, and to say that some relationships simply aren’t as good as others. Let’s hope recent events have been a wake-up call that the church simply cannot ignore: it has to change.'
