The following are assumptions I am making about the insurance industry that will need to be true for Conduit to succeed 1) Carriers want direct connections to Agency Management Systems 2) Agents are willing to share their data directly with Carriers to save time and money 3) Agency Management Systems will let their users choose who to share their data with I believe all of these to be true

Starting next week, my full time job will be running conduituploads.com where I will enable carriers and wholesalers to download E&S commercial policies, quotes, and commissions to their agents. The best part is, there is no tech work involved for the carrier or wholesaler. After a decade of building insurance technology, this is certainly the hardest thing I’ve ever built, but also the most necessary.

Does anyones AMS have an API endpoint to send AL3 files?

@Ryan_Hughes_Ins @RealJeffWhite I find that hard to believe, there are several agencies using Hubspot with Hawksoft on the backend supporting policy data sync.

@RealJeffWhite I was told I can’t import policy data. I can only import tasks, notes, etc.

Remember when I said you probably shouldn’t be using AI dialers? The FCC is proposing the following: 1) You must obtain explicit written permission before sending AI generated calls or texts. 2) You must disclose at the beginning of the communication (each time) that it is an AI generated communication.

@bradleyflowers This is real, and a huge driver for me in this industry. Not being with my daughter more after she was born has created a tremendous level of guilt and drive in my every day. And it translates to our PTO policy.

My son’s been in the children’s hospital since May 17th with an infection (he’s fine, we should be getting out this week). My wife and I have been rotating time here and with the two year old back home, but the amount of kids here with no parents because they have to work is astounding. What type of place are you working at that won’t give you PTO for your kid to be in the hospital? It makes me want to meet the parents in the lobby and give them a job. The nurse also said that about 15% of the kids here have no parents with them at night 😢

@RooskieMac Realize that sometimes people get busy, distracted, or upset at something completely unrelated. Or in my case the ADHD removes all memory of the message .001 seconds after closing the app.
