US President Trump: "... I want to thank China, President Xi, he stayed neutral, totally neutral, and I appreciated it; and I want to thank Vladimir Putin, he was very neutral. They could have made it much more difficult for us..."

Netanyahu is trying to sabotage the Iran deal which is totally harmful to his election campaign. Curious to see for how long Trump will tolerate it

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷President Trump claimed in a short interview with me that the signing of the U.S.-Iran deal for ending the war is still on track for Sunday deapite of the Israeli strike in Beirut and the Iranian threat to retaliate

"Beit Yayoun in the images below was occupied & demolished after Hezbollah rejected the ceasefire reached between the Israeli & Lebanese governments. A decision based on recognition of the painful reality could have spared this village from Israel's destructive war machine." 1/2

While Baghdad has lost 90% of its export revenue and scrambles for any outlet it can find, Damascus is collecting hard currency on every barrel moving through its territory toward the Mediterranean. For al-Sharaa, consolidating authority over a fractured country with an empty treasury, the timing could not be better. The worse Iraq's crisis gets, the more Syria makes. Two land corridors are now running. The first opened 31 March via al-Waleed/al-Tanf in western Anbar, with an initial convoy of 299 tanker trucks hauling heavy black oil from the Doura and Shuaiba refineries to Baniyas. Between 500 and 700 tankers, each carrying 30 tonnes, cross daily, though the crossing can handle over 1,000. The second opened 20 April via Rabia/Yarubiyah in Nineveh, closed since 2013. Yarubiyah takes trucks from Kirkuk, Siniyah, Baiji, and the Kar refinery in Erbil; al-Waleed handles southern refinery output. Syrian Petroleum has since rerouted the Rabia supply along the M4 directly to Baniyas, cutting transit time. Syria raised unloading capacity at Baniyas by 30%, bringing throughput to around 500 tankers a day, roughly 120,000 bpd, all heading onward by sea to European markets. SOMO has contracted 650,000 metric tonnes of fuel oil per month via these routes, around 140,000 bpd, at $20-22 per barrel against cents by sea. The current land baseline stands at 150,000 bpd, with a target of 350,000. Sustaining even 50,000 bpd of crude requires around 1,000 trucks running continuously. Every crossing generates revenue for Damascus: transit fees, Baniyas storage and unloading charges, Tartus port fees, and the option to buy Iraqi fuel at competitive prices. The per-barrel fee is not public, but at $2-3/bbl Syria is pulling in $8-13m per month now, rising toward $21-30m if Iraq hits its target. For al-Sharaa's government, short on hard currency and still consolidating authority over a fractured country, this is one of its most reliable revenue streams. The irony is structural. Iran's decision to shut Hormuz is funnelling Iraqi oil money into a government Tehran regards as an adversary, while putting Iraq's economy on life support. Now that the US lost the war, it won't take long until Joulani starts begging for reconciliation with Iran, which will not happen.

"You're f****** crazy. You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. I'm saving your a***. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this." That's what a U.S. official tells Axios President Trump unloaded on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a heated phone call over Israel's military actions in Lebanon. Trump was reportedly furious that Israel's moves risked blowing up U.S. diplomatic efforts in the region, at one point also asking Netanyahu: "What the f*** are you doing?"

Democrats have provided reflexive & unconditional support to Netanyahu & Israeli governments, even as they undermined the values we claimed to stand for. It's time to end taxpayer-funded support & condition arms sales to end the occupation & salvage a 2-state solution. nytimes.com/2026/05/26/opi…

Trump said he is not sure the U.S. should sign a deal to end the war with Iran if Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries don't agree join the Abraham Accords. "They owe it to us", he said
