✨ To prove my friend @StevieZollo (who's visiting me in Brazil) you don't need an idea, or even a lot of time these days to ship a little app that might make money I took the top idea from IdeasAI.com: "A startup that uses AI to generate personalized bedtime stories for kids based on their interests, family photos, and daily activities, delivered via a voice app. (❤️ 110 likes, 3 days ago)" So I copy pasted it into Claude Code and asked it to build it The first version of course didn't work, and I had to tell it some endpoints didn't work properly but then it fixed it The bedtime stories are generated by @xAI Grok 4.1, then sent to TTS with @GoogleAI Gemini and payment with @Stripe Checkout Total time from start to live: 24 minutes

I kept missing things from photos and random notes. School emails. Flyers. WhatsApp screenshots. So I built something simple: → Upload a photo → It extracts events + tasks → Groups them into one context (like “School Trip”) → Shows what to do today + what’s coming up Example 👇 📸 School trip notice → Event: School trip (Friday 3 PM) → Task: Bring lunch → Task: Pay $20 Instead of scattered info, everything becomes actionable instantly. BREAKTHROUGH! I toiled for years. I tweaked the prompts. I tinkered with context engineering. I tastefully provided lots of training data. Now, I think I (almost) finally have it. An AI-powered dad joke generator that occasionally generates a not-that-awful dad joke (and sometimes the little things are fully groan). It's by no means perfect, but it's...progress. So, I'm declaring today a "Shipping Sunday" and sharing a beta version of the new app with all of you. To try it: Just go to dadjoke .ai (you'll need a free AgentAI account, but that takes < minute). Let me know what you think, upvote the ones you like (so we can update the "dadabase") and post any favorites here as a reply so I can reshare. Thanks for your support (and patience).

@karpathy I just saw your upcoming LLM101n: Storyteller course-can’t wait for it. I recently built something similar called DreamTales, where I generate bedtime stories featuring my daughter using Llama 3.1 + Flux Schnell. Excited to go deeper into how these models work under the hood.
