@desibility @todoist It’s way worse. There is no longer full synching. Your GC events no longer add as tasks to Todoist. There is no view on Todoist that shows your whole day. You see what’s on GC & then what’s on your Todoist list.

Puzzled by why, in the 3 weeks before Nov. 5, @nytimes’s weekly podcast, “The Interview” hosted Mia Khalifa & John Fetterman. The Fetterman interview 4 days ago was 🤦🏻‍♀️. At one point host @LuluGNavarro says “Do I look like I know what truck nuts are?” “It’s balls,” he replies.

This is tough one, I think we're all navigating how we use AI. AI is a great assistant, and I use it as such. But we need to be careful about letting it take over. In my own work, I prioritise hearing directly from disabled people. #AXSChat

@desibility imagine if disabled reporters had had a voice e.g. covering things like reporting about lobotomies and forced sterilizations. maybe those could have been abandoned decades before

Reporting and media are essential for democratic exchange. Transparency and accountability are especially needed in issues that affect marginalized populations. Too much has been done in the name of disabled people without us knowing anything about it. #AXSChat

The first challenge is getting our foot - or wheel, or cane - in the door. Journalism opportunities are extremely limited. The answer is simple: support disabled journalists and their work. Money, clicks, it all counts. We get the media we pay attention to. #AXSChat
