@doubleuteaeff

I rant here. Some of what I say may resonate and some may fall flat. I prefer dialogue to dismissal, so please engage.

@Sakshi50038 feels exaggerated but there’s some truth in it things have definitely become more uncertain and expensive the path isn’t as linear as it used to be so is it really harder now or just different?

@Sakshi50038 You forgot: 2026: - whine all day - blame others for your problems - seek to expand the government to solve all problems - cry when this powerful gov’t is co-opted by the elite - feel entitled - act the victim - do the bare minimum - feel hopeless and take charge of nothing

@UniversalFires @thermuus @AlanRMacLeod 100% of them. The rulers live in uncompromising luxury while the masses work as slaves “for the good of the nation.” Most every society on earth has owned slaves or need enslaved. How about this? Go read up on your pitiful worldview and then come talking your garbage.

@doubleuteaeff @thermuus @AlanRMacLeod Might be different jobs but at the end of the day it’s the same shit just a different color lmao. Keep making excuses to protect a system that fucks over a majority of its people.

@jonbrooks Apparently, since we’re 100% unwilling to stop the massive outflow of our money to foreign countries, a wide variety of NGOs with bloated payrolls and dubious missions, and an ever-growing list of people who can’t buy food or pay rent without Uncle Sam’s “generosity”.

@Kortirionandon @Hamiltonstears I’m all ears. But the current argument has been about how it’s not a problem, so why bother. And honestly, people are so afraid of “putting ANY burden on the voter” but I don’t see why. If someone can’t bother to prove their citizenship, perhaps they shouldn’t vote.

@doubleuteaeff @Hamiltonstears So tired of how proliferate the lies have been to those who can't be bothered to fact check shit. Biden paroled about 3 million people. It wasn't open as he returned or expelled more than that We can create a system that checks citizenship without putting ANY burden on the voter

All we ask is for proof that millions of illegals vote before you create a new law that - when enacted in Kansas a few years ago - disenfranchised over 30,000 US citizens eligible to vote. 5 states have looked for non-citizens that managed to get registered. Utah found 1 out of 2.1 million voters; Georgia found 20 out of 8.2 million, Michigan found 3 in one county out of 724K voters, Louisiana found 390 out of 2.9 million (shame on you Mister Speaker), and Idaho found 36 out of 1 million. Illegals don't vote. Why should they. Trying to register to vote is a good way to get caught and be deported.

“Republicans are standing for SIMPLE common sense.” @chiproytx draws a sharp contrast with Democrats. “Secure the country, remove invaders, and make sure only citizens vote — that’s all we’re asking.”

@Kortirionandon @Hamiltonstears But since we don’t ask for proof, how could you possibly know?? When you think about it, it’s crazy that we truly don’t know who is and who is not a citizen and we need to fix that. Biden’s open border (and decades of border mismanagement prior) have brought that to the fore.

@doubleuteaeff @Hamiltonstears Your DL and SSN info has been considered adequate for decades, and considering the rates at which non-citizens end up on the rolls is so miniscule, is still entirely adequate.

@Supr3m3High @ennui365 “Too massive” being a key phrase here. And if States can pull it off, they must and will suffer until they do or people leave for States that can. This is all too obvious if you think and read about it. Humans were designed for freedom, but prefer being controlled.

@doubleuteaeff @ennui365 SNAP is too massive for the states to successfully pull off. The bottom echelon in the case of revenue of states couldn’t pull it off and the programs would die out.

@Supr3m3High @ennui365 4/ The ways it’s been done for the past 75 years or so has NOT solved poverty, but made it addictive and created a semi-permanent class of welfare recipients. And has, in part, been responsible for our now $39TR debt. It’s all unsustainable and needs to go.

@Supr3m3High @ennui365 3/ They knew that people can move from State to State but if the whole country did something untoward, it would be much harder to leave the nation. Precisely the same reason you and your family, not your city, decide what you will have for dinner.

@Supr3m3High @ennui365 Yes, the SCOTUS will eventually overturn nearly all federal welfare programs (even compulsory SSN and Medicare), but allow the States to do basically whatever they want on that front.

@Supr3m3High @ennui365 I can’t believe I’m still getting sucked in when I know there’ll be no payoff. But as I said before, Federalist 45 (Madison) says that federal powers are few and defined and that States handle the “ordinary course of affairs.” It’s talked about elsewhere but you can’t read, so…

@doubleuteaeff @ennui365 You never told me where SNAP is a states issue in the federalist papers. Now that I ask you to substantiate your claim, now you just claim you did it and avoid the point. Sounds like you’ve been talking out of your ass the entire time.

It’s okay to be gay. It’s okay to be trans. It is not something to tolerate. It is not something to explain away. It is human. It is real. It has always been here. LGBTQIA+ people are not a problem to solve or a debate to win. They are part of the fabric of this world. Artists, thinkers, survivors, people who have had to understand themselves in ways most never question. It is more than okay. It is strength. It is truth. It is people living honestly in a world that often tells them not to. And there is nothing more powerful than that.
