@N_Moses1 @theficouple A lot of assets aren't liquid. An asset is about producing ongoing value. Homes absolutely do that. They hedge against inflation. They can be downsized and produce lump sums. They are actually fairly liquid compared to many other assets you wouldn't think twice about including.

You’re not missing anything, your logic is basically right. A home does count in net worth, but people debate it because: It’s not liquid (you can’t easily spend it) It can fluctuate in value You still need a place to live even if you “cash it out” So it’s included, just not always treated the same as cash or investments.

Will never understand why people don't include a home in their net-worth. If the home is worth $550,000 and you owe $200,000 that $350,000 absolutely goes to your net-worth. ...What am I missing!?

Idk why people hate Jared Triolo so much, but love Nick Gonzales. Like yeah, Gonzales hits .260 and Triolo hits .230, but they both end up with like an 85-90 OPS+ and one is a fantastic defender at multiple positions.

@dpH2P16 @937theFan Well other than yesterday he has been playing stellar d, causing havoc on the base paths, and hes starting to come alive. Also hes 19, most 19 year old rookies dont hit .300 to start. Griffey, Mantle, Trout, Arod, Witt, etc all struggled at first but sure lets crush him

@jmbynx Prob w/ BMW isn't JUST reliability it's that maintenance is going to cost u triple and when there is reliability issue, also going to cost you triple. It's like paying for the Toyota then having it break down 4x as much as Toyotas normally break down, from a cost perspective.

@WaymooMoody Here's an answer. It doesn't matter because this team, playing as good as it possibly can, is barely above .500, sucks and is destined for 77-85 😂

@dpH2P16 @NoahW_25 You’re preaching to the choir. I was just pointing out to the people who rave about his defense that he’s actually only good at one position, and it’s one where defense isn’t really at a premium.

Mind-boggling that a few fans continue to criticize Kelly. Of course he’s going to make mistakes. All managers do. But in case you miss this, the Pirates are in FIRST PLACE. He knows 10 times more than anybody about the Pirates personnel and has info to support his decisions.

This is an honest question to the fanbase, Why did Don Kelly not have Konnor Griffin steal there to eliminate the double play ball? Griffin might be the fastest player on the team and they would have never threw it to second in that situation.

@dailey9108 @MarkMaddenX there’s no question to ask lol just because Kelly made the decision right or wrong doesn’t mean Lowe won’t start and hit against lefty’s all year. The manager had a feeling it didn’t work out and that’s that

Those (over)analyzing Kelly's lineup decisions need to stop parsing every game like it's the Super Bowl. You're not used to the team being good, I get it. But it's 162 games. Sitting Griffin yesterday made sense. He got 2 hits the day before, but it's about pacing a 19-y/o.

Makes no sense to bench Konnor Griffin today when he has 3 hits in the last two games and was finally starting to lock in at the plate last night. So many questionable decisions these past few days. He isn’t going to learn being on the bench

@MPFrazer $2800 is the national average if you have 2 kids, dunce. Plus, "national average" means absolutely jack. You want Jon and Cheryl from New York to send their kids to your hick town in NC, dunce? $300 credit card bill is $3600 of spending a year, moron.

$950 car payment? Buy within your means. $300 credit card bill? Spend within your means. $2,800 daycare? That's twice the national average (~$1400). $800 student loans? Maybe. $4,400 rent? More than twice the national average (~$1700). I call BS.
daz@MetamateDaz

I wish more people understood $4 coffees and avocado toast isn’t the problem. It’s the: – $950 car payment – $300 credit card bill – $2,800 daycare –$800 student loans – $4,400 rent This is why most supposedly well paid job feel like a struggle.

My wife works with someone who has no interest in building generational wealth. He doesn’t care about leaving a legacy, climbing the corporate ladder, or passing down a fortune to his future kids. All he wants is to spend his money enjoying what little time he has on this planet. Can you blame him?

At $1m it might still be worth working for a salary. At $5m you become unemployable. Every salary involves selling away your life just to sit in meetings, and pay maximum tax. At this point you look for smarter people to hang with, and more passive opportunities to grow money.
