Thanks to the leadership of @drSanchezAE, Director of Robotic Surgery, and the Orlando Health team, Proximie has been instrumental in driving surgical education, innovation, and connectivity. Here are some of our key achievements so far: ⭕ Global Surgical Broadcasts: Enabled high-fidelity live streams of complex procedures, such as Dr. Teixeira’s robotic duodenal switch, reaching audiences in Venezuela, India, Portugal, and Brazil. ⭕ Academic Activities: Leveraged Proximie to power training courses in bariatric robotic surgery, thoracic robotic surgery, robotic bronchoscopy, and endosuturing, with participants joining both in-person and virtually from across the globe. Supported real-time teleproctoring, including Andre Teixeira MD, FACS, FASMBS, Director of the Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Center at Orlando Health, remotely guiding a surgeon-in-training through a live procedure. ⭕ OR Efficiency and Safety: Collaborated on initiatives to enhance OR dynamics, including efficiency improvements in vascular surgery and endoscopy. Opened the first Proximie-enabled endoscopy suites with the support of @MPGN46, Director of Bariatric Research at Orlando Health, enhancing data capture, procedural safety, and performance. ⭕ Research Support: Supplied recordings for numerous research projects, including robotic surgery publications such as Duodenal Switch Step by Step and VR Applications – Training OR Staff featured in the Journal of Robotic Surgery and Journal of Visualized Surgery. ⭕ Captured Innovation Across Specialties: Recorded groundbreaking advancements in several specialties, including the first use of the Arthrex Nanoscope for bariatric procedures at ORMC. Over the last 12 months, we’ve expanded to 12 platforms across the Orlando Health network, empowering surgical teams to improve outcomes, standardize care, and increase connectivity. We’re honoured to support the exceptional clinicians at Orlando Health and are excited about the future of surgical innovation together.
