This is tacky. Especially from a journalist. What you imply is that current leadership has not been prioritizing citizens’ safety. You KNOW this is untrue. Mayor Bass has from day 1 prioritized ALL residents—including the unhoused (which I would have thought would be important to you but perhaps not). LA residents voted. And over a hundred million dollars couldn’t get your billionaire candidate across the finish line. So perhaps now show some class in the face of this completely unpredictable, natural disaster and devastation, use your huge platform to report actual facts about the fire department’s actual budget and keep the attacks (even the ones with transparent veils) to a minimum. And by minimum, I mean ZERO.
