The Nation’s Report Card from @NAEP_NCES shows that TN students amassed some “firsts.” For the first time, we rank above the national average in both fourth- and eighth-grade math & ELA & are listed among the top 25 states. We are outpacing the nation in math & ELA proficiency rates, while also improving in reading — even though the nation is seeing a decline.
