@Misha_Again_ @SixBrownChicks @blackgirldisney Do we know that she didn’t? EpiPens work *most* of the time, but sometimes you get really unlucky and it doesn’t.
English

@SixBrownChicks @blackgirldisney Wait a minute. Did she not have her Epi pen if her allergy was that severe??
That’s terrifying.
English

Dominique Brown, co-founder of @blackgirldisney, suffered an allergic reaction to food served at an influencer event. Multiple sources said Brown notified event organizers about her food allergies beforehand. She was 34.

Ms. Andry Noir, PhD@keatingssixth
Apparently a Black woman content creator passed away at an influencer event due to a food allergy?? Where tf is the public statement addressing this????

@lamb_haven @hollowearthterf @panda_gongjunim Looked like sliced cheddar or colby to me. Kraft singles don’t tear that cleanly. Because they’re goo.
English

@hollowearthterf @panda_gongjunim Am I crazy or is that not Kraft singles? They don’t look like they’re jiggling or tearing like Kraft cheese.
English

@bloodylikeabod Work and markets are human nature, and while there should be guard rails and safety nets, any concept of a society that doesn’t involve work and exchange of goods is hopelessly naive.
English

@circlerotator @Cluffalo @CartoonsHateHer She got GOOD plastic surgery, though. Her face looks very natural.
English

@Cluffalo @CartoonsHateHer This woman got plastic surgery
English

@thedanholo @mktoon I think you’re being intentionally obtuse now. You know exactly why LA works for the mnemonic.
English

@eesgreene @mktoon And yes, the nearest large metro area to Disney World is Orlando, but if we’re considering Orlando a large metropolitan city, then there are plenty of cities closer to Disneyland that have way more people than Orlando and are much closer than LA.
English

@thedanholo @mktoon I think the full property is in both now, but Reedy Creek was created for tax purposes. Either way, technically not within Orlando, but referring to the nearest large metro area isn’t exactly wrong for either location.
English

@eesgreene @mktoon Uh no. It’s technically Lake Buena Vista. Reedy Creek is the local municipality.
English

@thedanholo @mktoon And Disney World isn’t in Orlando either. It’s in Reedy Creek. But Disneyland is right next to LA, and DW is right next to Orlando.

@CelticknotterTO @GlennCraven @gracemt95 @ahm_therebel @dieworkwear It’s a pretty bulky gauge, which makes it quicker. Socks take forever because they’re made of tiny yarn which is more stitches per inch. The color work would slow things down a bit, but gauge matters way more.
English

@GlennCraven @gracemt95 @ahm_therebel @dieworkwear A month? She must be a skilled & fast knitter. Most knitters I know get done about 2 pairs of socks (especially with multicolour patterns & designs) per month, which would be about the same as the two sleeves here.
English

I'm happy to explain why that sweater is $500. 🧵
suripfote.bsky.social 𓅇@AmrananmAnRa
@dieworkwear 500$ for a winter sweater my fucking sides
English

@Angry_Staffer I don’t *love* the optics, but, it protects him in the next administration, because otherwise they’d make him a target, so I get the necessity. Big “meh” on this.
English

@AbebawHiru31285 @NickBallKnower @GreenTextRepost It’s close enough. 5 inches is fine. Nobody but him has a ver given his size a second thought.
English

@BadMedicalTakes Antarctica was discovered in the 1800s, but it’s a solid bet it was there the whole time.
English

@gracemt95 @ahm_therebel @dieworkwear That was my reaction. Beyond the substantial cost of yarn, it would take hours upon hours of labor. My ex knits quite a bit and my first impulse was that something like this sweater might take up most of her evenings for a month. Skilled knitters feel free to correct me.
English

@ahm_therebel @dieworkwear So can I. And if you wanted it made of hand dyed merino, the yarn would cost around $250. Just because grandma can do it doesn’t mean it’s not an art form, doesn’t cost money, or isn’t worthy of a little respect.
English

@cats_catcatcat @peachofababy There’s also the fact that they can *know* exactly what you want them to do or not do, and just… decide to disobey. You’re not the pack leader like you are with a dog. You’re more like a roommate making a polite request. They might do it. If they feel like it.
English

@peachofababy Cats can be definitely trained with positive reinforcement. I used a clicker to teach my kitty cute tricks like fist bump. However training them NOT to do something is much more difficult and often comes down to modifying the environment rather than the behavior.
English

@BJJ_rag @DrNadolsky And I assume it was probably a bit harder for her than it would be for a 28 year old guy with just a little extra. Which was the point. Not that it can never be done, but that it IS MORE DIFFICULT for some people than it is for others.
English

Reading through the comments… hmmmmm… as a certified personal trainer, I took a 53 year old menopausal woman from 201 to 127 through, guess what, consistent exercise and nutrition. This happened before social media from 2008 to 2009.
Oh, and she was full time in finance and lost her job in 2009 after the financial crisis. On meds for high blood pressure. Physician ended up taking her off her meds because we got her blood pressure down.
The Sacramento Bee did an article on her.
Yes, anecdotal, but making fitness my career from 2007 to 2021, I saw thousands of examples of the above.
Easy? Hell no! Challenges? 100%. But thermodynamics trumps whacked out hormonal imbalances.
English

@uncledoomer 15 miles is a reasonable commute. The joke in the meme is the U turn. She’s chosen a place that requires them to backtrack on the road trip.
