I Wonder If You See Me - A Poem about Childhood Trauma. Please find just 3 minutes of your time for this powerful, absolute must-watch, it comes with a trigger warning for anyone who has experienced any sort of trauma. We’re all just kids that got older. youtube.com/watch?v=5qZ4-I…

Trauma-Informed Classrooms Exposure to trauma can result in a state of hyperarousal or heightened alertness to threats, real or perceived. Children need psychological safety first, where they feel the environment offers emotional and real psychological security. Without this, they are unable to focus, open up, take risks in their learning, and engage more fully with the learning experience. Trauma can manifest in social withdrawal and isolation through to physical aggression. We have to remain warmly curious as to why children are engaging in these behaviours and focus on changing our behaviour and support to meet this.
