@SteveW928 @yfreemark SF Muni has 482k riders/day on top of a subset of BART’s 158k riders/day, in a city of ~800k. That being said, Vancouver city probably also has higher ridership than metro Vancouver.

Transport for London, an agency that serves 8.9 million people, will have no transit service on December 25 due to Christmas. No Tube, no DLR, no Overground, no buses, no National rail.

@SFMTA_Muni Well there aren’t any buses that finished the detour and got back on route either. It says that the next bus gets to Cole Valley in 30 minutes and the last bus came half an hour ago.

@enguy Due to the reroute from Market onto Mission coaches that are off route on Mission don't populate in the system.

@RAILMag Re: Denver G Line, I don’t think that “the crossing gates don’t work” counts as “functionally complete.” Maybe they could have hired people to stand at each intersection like the A line, but according to the contractor’s lawsuit that cost tens of millions of dollars.

Rather than hot takes about the insanity of a diesel pulling EMUs, I think about how long the Denver G Line & WMATA SL Phase II sitting for years, functionally complete. Running imperfect service now is better for public habits & trust than waiting for perfect service later.
