“A patient waits for hours in an emergency department… and dies before being assessed.”
Not rare. Not random.

@mccarthymt7 @roinnslainte Yep. I’m in the gave up trying group.

I find it hard to believe that an @roinnslainte has good enough data to conclude that telling “the regions” to work harder is the right solution.
There is no strategic service planning that measures the current demand on services, and the amount of resources allocated to meeting this demand.
When frontline workers point out resource gaps, and are repeatedly told no resources are available, they eventually give up trying, understandably.
To collect accurate performance metrics, you need a functional EHR, or an army of data managers.
Honestly, if I had to choose between a data manager or an extra nurse, I would choose an extra nurse, every time.
You have to cover the basics first ie deliver cancer treatments on time, before you start to do anything fancy e.g. hire someone to measure in real time how your department is failing to provide more data for a business case that will end up on the floor anyway because managers do not have access to resources.

Why don't her fellow White House correspondents stand up for her? Why do reporters as a group tolerate these Trump attacks on their own members, especially female members? What happened to solidarity?

Continuing The Pitt and honestly it’s the best representation of our job (maybe not the number of cases but certainly the shift in gear) that I’ve ever seen. Has me crying and laughing out loud with the realism. Not seen or heard a case or line that I haven’t had in real life.
