@Ksidiii How is Main Street tethered to Wall Street? Main Street is absolutely broke. Not even paycheck to paycheck, just trying to survive anyway it can. The moves in the markets do nothing for Main Street. Nothing!

It’s also why last year around this time the administration was screaming “it’s Main Street’s turn”. But the moment markets started to get hit, they quickly realized that Main Street is tethered to Wall Street and they had to walk that silly mantra back immediately lol.

This is part of why this administration cares so much about equity markets. The moment the market enters a real sustained drawdown, 401ks, retirement programs are impacted and Americans begin holding on to every dollar they have. That behavior alone can create a massive deflationary environment and, in turn, lead to significantly weaker GDP. I have said this many times, but the global economy is tethered to the US equity market in a way it has never been before.

This shows how much of the economic output goes to workers through wages, salaries, bonuses, and benefits. Since the start of the century, the share has declined by over 10 percentage points. At the same time, US corporate profit margins sit near an all-time high. This means American workers produce the wealth while corporations are capturing an increasing portion of it.

Bill Belichick was 29-38 after Brady retired & 41-55 before Brady was in New England. Only 2 playoff appearances without Brady. Most arrogant coach in NFL history. It’s been a circus at North Carolina. This isn’t surprising. He played with the greatest player in the history of the NFL and couldn’t do anything without him. Also been caught cheating/bending the rules numerous times. Numbers say he should 100% be in but eye test says otherwise.
