NEW: 67-year-old Karen Cooke Lewis arrested for scratching a Tesla Cybertruck with nails on a board in Collettsville, North Carolina.
The owner of the Cybertruck says he had no clue who Karen was.
"We had all the craziness with Teslas when Elon was part of Doge and all that stuff, but I thought we had kind of gotten past that and I'd kind of made it through unscathed," the owner said.
Karen was arrested and charged with injury to personal property.
When will they realize that Teslas have cameras that are recording them?

I have spent a good part of my career just getting people to believe this was actually happening. Now we are here. With 15 drones, you can lose roughly 1/4 of the B-52 force as it sits idle on the ground. This was always the most concerning scenario. Time to move to hardening. I had access to screens my entire life (video games, computers, TV, iPod touch, later smart phones) & graduated high school in 2015. I did all those things. I even went to grad school bc I like school. Teachers didn’t complain about us the way they do about kids now.

Every teacher I know personally is leaving the profession because students have become unteachable. They don’t read, they don’t talk to each other, they have no curiosity, no passion, no interest in learning. Giving kids unfettered access to screens has ruined a generation.

When I was finishing school I had the choice between the Bay Area and Seattle. Seattle paid a bit less but was made up for by the lack of income tax. Take that away and many people like me will not move here, spend money, and start families. Add on a possible 5% payroll tax on jobs over 135k and that makes it even harder for businesses to be competitive with more desirable areas of the country.

You'd be surprised how many Seattleites would prefer California, but Washington's tax favorability has allowed it to better compete with its sunnier and more fashionable West Coast cousin. Techies had an economic incentive to learn to love the evergreens and clouds.
Hence, as taxation continues to ramp here, the immediate winners won't necessarily be humid, income-tax-free states, like Texas and Florida, but rather, places like California.
Washington has little parity with California, which has the best weather in the country. I guess up here, the air remains cleaner, so we got that.
In the past two years, we have undergone a major erosion of incentives to stay, to found businesses here, to plant families. So much of the region is transient -- huge influx of people and talent from other places.
It will change. Incentives work. Disincentives also work.
