Buenos Aires water pumping station (built 1894) and Melbourne water pumping station (built 1897). What was in the air -- or, I suppose, the water -- back then?
🏆 Delighted to be main of sponsor 2024 @Offaly_GAA Club Hurling Championships for the 12th year! 📸 Pictured: Rival club captains throughout county celebrating the season's start.
🚨 P.S. We’re hiring engineers in Tullamore–see website! #OffalyGAA#Hurling#Community#Molloy
We were on site on Monday last in Co. Wexford to install an Irish Water specification pump station.
The client engaged us as a one-stop-shop to design, manufacture off-site, install and commission the pump station for a development of 70 new homes.

Current on-site installation of an @IrishWater approved pumping station, for a 40 home dev. in Co. Kildare. The client chose us due to our all-in-one solution, including design, manufacture of concrete tanks and chambers, provision of pumps, kiosk, mechanical and electrical work.
Congratulations to first time @Offaly_GAA Senior Championship winners @ShinroneGaa, and to all teams across the county who competed in the various club hurling championships this years. We are proud to sponsor both @Offaly_GAA Club Hurling Championships & @BallinamereGAA teams.
Paschal Donohoe: Introducing a new levy on concrete blocks, pouring concrete and certain other concrete products from April 3rd at a rate of 10% - expected to raise €80m a year - used to fund redress scheme for defective products.
Despite not travelling out of Ireland, 2020 has been a good year for me in terms of flying / learning to fly, thanks to more downtime than usual during summer weekends. Summing my logbook data, I took off and landed 154 times (inc. touch and goes), also I started flying solo! ✈️
@starsandrobots Easy to get data in and out of it with .csv files. Product was once called TinyERP, then OpenERP, so it might suit a casual case, though my own use of it is far from a hobby horse!
@starsandrobots Look at Odoo’s Manufacturing and Inventory apps, good BoM functionally (and I understand free if requirement is less than or equal to two apps)
@Shpigford@Jim_Coleman1 Assuming calm conditions, and not overloaded, try: 60kts approach speed (do not let go below), 20 degrees flaps— plus look at end of runway before starting flare
@Lethain As a former Mac user, I now have and recommend a Lenovo X1 Carbon with Ubuntu (w/dual boot Windows). Great keyboard, and long battery life + none of the nonsense sign in prompts for Apple services, just a nice clean os. Have a dock then to work at desk. Ubuntu forever improving.
This is obviously not very important, but my iMac I bought in 2013 has basically died (can't open Zoom, spins out a lot, hinge on monitor stand is propped up by a box, etc). Pondering buying a Mac Mini to replace? Or give up on macOS and make leap to Windows w/ubuntu subsystem?
@shl That is not true in my experience. The person I know who most consistently asks for book recommendations (to the point of once photographing my bookshelves) is Patrick Collison, and he probably also reads the most of anyone I know.
