@CaptainPikeachu I mean you have his wife dying in her place, Addam claiming a dragon and fighting for her, Alyn and the entire Velaryon fleet fighting for her aswell. He nearly died in the gullet too. To me he believes that they were all willing to give their lives and she could not give a name.

@CaptainPikeachu I get her position, to me Corlys just thought it was an insult for her to ask him to wait and saw as a refusal because what went down with his family, when it comes to deaths of Laenor, Vaemond, Rhaenys and because both of his kids risked death fighting for her claim

You all forget Corlys supported Rhaenyra even after the suspicious “death” of his son, after Daemon murdered his brother, not to mention he lost his wife when she fought for her claim. Of course he would lose it when she refuses the one request he made for his family.

this whole Corlys yelling at Rhaenyra about her children being bastards because his are denied is just pure bullshit - she didn't even outright deny him, she literally was just telling him to wait a bit - all he had to do was bide his time and she would have given them legitimacy

You can understand where Rhaenyra’s stands but to Corlys his wife died fighting for her, he nearly died fighting for her, his sons are risking their lives at her service, and he spent all those years supporting her children’s legitimacy and he can’t ask one thing in return

It’s insane to me that Daemon and Rhaenyra see themselves as gods and the dragons as religious signs, but believe Ulf, Hugh and Addam could not carry the name Targaryen/Velaryon when they claimed dragons who are bigger than theirs and are the reason they conquered the city.

@notforrester But now she does see her self as ordained by the gods to rule. She even says it to the high septon, that a dragon came to her. Her perspective switched to justify all that she lost and to make her certain she should sit on the throne.
