I wish this tweet would be irrelevant by now, but its not.
Karrigan is statistically speaking for 2026 onto his worst start of a season.
I haven’t lost faith in his leadership qualities at all, but I think he needs some fresh air, either within FaZe or somewhere else.

I admire Karrigan an awful lot. His longevity, the ability to remian on the top in 3 different versions of Counter Strike is truly unique. With that said, that does not mean he stays immune to criticism, and I think it's apropoiate to point out his individual struggles. As an IGL that sacrifice for your team non stop, it's to be expected that your level and productivity drops off a lot. However there's a limit to how much you can allow yourself to drop off, before you become a liability. Recently Karrigan has struggled a bit more than usual putting out numbers on the server. In 4 out of the last 5 events he's posted a rating below 0.80, which to me is where the limit is at. Is he at fault for FaZe not winning more atm? Not necessarily no, but is he as big a part of it as the likes of Rain, broky, etc? Absolutely. Touchy subject, but I think he is becoming more and more of a liability, and that needs to change as soon as possible.

@Juhnoooo @Quinshorexd @StatsMerchant @Mauisnake Karrigan and apex didn’t start their Careers as an IGL, any more examples needed? As a Young Player you are almost Never the IGL but with Experience You Develop the necessary skillset.

@StatsMerchant @Mauisnake Im Not saying an igl is expendable but iM is already navis 2nd Voice and Plays Long enough in navi to understand what Blade wants. You need to take some risks in Order to get to the top because with This Roster they dont have enough firepower to be a top3 team

@fl0wxyz @Mauisnake In terms of Skill S1 is better than wonderful. Regarding the personality I have my doubts if This is the Right fit. Although I believe he wont tilt this way with better teammates.
It’s still Worth a try for Navi as they are going nowhere with w0 and no other AWP on the market

These small LANs aren’t going to save FaZe.
Understanding the Major runs aren’t enough has to be the mentality.
They have to move on from broky & jcobbb. They also need to consider support staff changes.
Karrigan, Twistzz, and frozen are still a great core to build around.

Had this conversation with a mate the other day. It’s not just the games. Which are hands down nowhere near as enjoyable as they were pre covid and pre VAR. It’s also the players. How many of today’s elite players are we going to talk about in 20/30 years? Kane? Mbappe? De Bruyne?Lamine Yamal?
Compare that to how many we talk about today from 10/20 years ago. Messi & Ronaldo. Ronaldinho. Rivaldo. Pirlo. Xavi. Iniesta. R9. Figo. Kaka. Zidane. David Silva. Neymar. Aguero. Batistuta. Henry.
And how many of those wouldn’t be utilised in the modern day because they aren’t athletic enough or they don’t run enough or don’t follow managers strict game plans.
Football is no longer about flair and entertainment. It’s about margins and lines being drawn on the pitch. It’s not about risk. It’s about instructions. It’ll never be the same again unfortunately and we just have to accept that. But I’m pretty sure in 20 years the popularity of the sport will have declined. Because it’s no longer the free flowing game it once was
