Do you remember details about people you met only once and spoke with briefly (~10-20 minutes), months later?

It’s literally impossible to imagine the universe without consciousness. OK that’s a joke, but seriously…. The only Theory of Everything (TOE) which includes consciousness is that of Nobel Laureate Sir Roger Penrose whose ‘objective reduction ties the quantum measurement problem to self-collapse of the wavefunction resulting in consciousness caused by properties of spacetime geometry. Main problems with string theory: 1) extra dimensions are better as extra spatiotemporal scales in a fractal universe, linked to biological time crystals to transcend scale docserver.ingentaconnect.com/deliver/connec… 2) like QFT, string theory doesn’t account for the background, spacetime geometry (e.g. Penrose twistors). What are the strings vibrating IN? 3) Where’s consciousness? sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Quanta Magazine@QuantaMagazine

58 years after it first appeared, string theory remains the most popular candidate for the “theory of everything.” This is much to the chagrin of its rather vocal critics. @nattyover reports: quantamagazine.org/are-strings-st…

as is probably known at this point, I loved Scott Aaronson's Why Every Philosopher should care about Computational Complexity Theory If i had magic wand I would have these two exist also: - Why Every Philosopher should care about Homotopy Type Theory - Why Every Philosopher should care about about Sheaves and Categorical Optics

Time Crystals abridged history: 2012 • Nobel laureate Frank Wilczek proposes theory 2016 • Theoretical blueprints for building them finalized 2017 • First experimental proof (Harvard/UMD) 2021 • Sycamore uses MBL to stabilize quantum matter 2025 • First visible time crystal
Cosmos Archive@cosmosarcive

This is a time crystal. Quantum matter that spontaneously breaks time-translation symmetry and oscillates in its ground state forever with zero energy input. These iridescent morphing structures show real Floquet DTC physics in action.

This experiment shows how objects moving in a circle instantly travel in a straight line when the force holding them disappears. SpinLaunch uses this same physics idea to launch rockets

The LeviBowl acoustic levitator uses ultrasonic sound waves to create standing-wave pressure nodes that counter gravity. Tiny objects get trapped in these invisible pockets and float in midair.

@forestmars You are saying that time in a blackhole is very close to time in quantum scale. Both replace the 3d properties. This can be formulated for a new mathematical interpretation.

May be this is not the case. Wha if our current choise is already decided in the past so it can change our past but we already feel past as future or now for anticipation. This time manuplation ability of human brain may cause this weirdness.
The Curious Tales@thecurioustales

🚨PHYSICISTS OBSERVED TIME RUNNING IN TWO DIRECTIONS AT ONCE (at quantum scale). It means time may not move forward, but fold over itself suggesting your current choices could be altering your past.

@xcorat @CankayKoryak You're not wrong. CP viol. → T viol. via CPT, metric makes time ≠ space. Still, most eqs (EM/strong/gravity) are T-symmetric; weak T-break tiny & irrelevant to macro arrow. To wit: Never let correctness stand in the way of a good vibe 😎
