I walked into a restaurant bathroom yesterday and a man changing a baby at the changing table apologized profusely about being in the ladies room. I was like you’re good. My immediate feeling was not “oh dear how can I pee in the same place as a man?” It was “it’s 2026, how tf are places still not putting changing tables in all the bathrooms?”

Regulating AI protects everyone (but especially women and children) from nonconsensual use of their images (cp, revenge porn). Reproductive health protects women from being forced into pregnancy and dependence on an abuser.

Of course that one against the reaffirmation of women’s rights was the United States because of language that included: -diversity, equity & inclusion -the effects of climate change on women - regulations for AI -the definition of gender - the reproductive health rights of women&girls Don’t ever try to tell me this administration cares about women & girls.

Without it employers can (and many will) hire people based more on age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and characteristics instead of actual competency

@wonderlandmom @CatholicCharm Except publication of a child’s likeness requires the legal guardian’s consent. Grandparents don’t have authority over child media use like that. AI should be no different considering you have no way of knowing exactly who can and will be accessing those uploaded images

@CatholicCharm It's not your decision. You are not able to control everyone or everything. I'd she has the images, she can do almost whatever she wants with them (there are some limits on using a person's image in connection with advertising without their consent).

@nthepursuitof @zeynepmyenisey I’ve never seen someone actually try to use their entire computer out on the beach like this. A hotel patio you can see the beach from maybe, but I’m willing to bet not many people actually do what’s in the photo, let alone more than once. Sand gets everywhere

@Kabliga @Chizitere_xyz Pregnancy and childbirth are dangerous processes that put one parent at serious medical risk of injury, illness, and sometimes death. If you want a child that bad you can hire a surrogate who has actually agreed to be one.

Here's another harsh truth. Husbands or boyfriends who wanted nothing but to have a family their entire life have no say in stopping the woman from getting an abortion. If you have the stomach to watch it, watch the Youtube videos of the men crying outside of the clinics begging their wives, now ex-wives usually, girlfriends, whoever, to please not kill their son. The men have no say in the murder of their own child. How about if a woman is pregnant and the man is actually allowed to legally ask that she have the baby, he has to pay her the same amount that a surrogate mother would typically be paid to have a baby on behalf of somebody else, but then after that payment and after she gives birth she loses access to that child forever with absolutely zero way to reverse the decision. That would put men in the shoes that you just described this woman in. The man raising the baby alone but able to raise the child that he wanted not to be murdered and the woman who was going to murder his child has an automatic restraining order against contacting him or the child ever again.

I believe that; If abortion is criminalized, men should lose the right to walk away from a pregnancy, too. I watched my friend who was born to be a doctor lose her entire future to unwanted pregnancy. She was buried in biology books, top of her class, and ready to save lives. One failed contraceptive later, her world stopped. The guy? He laughed, said "that's a you problem," blocked her number, and walked away into a bright, uninterrupted future. She knew she couldn't survive medical school with an infant. But her parents, devout church workers, cornered her. To them, her dying dreams mattered less than their reputation in the congregation. They threatened her with damnation and absolute disownment until she broke. The day she packed up her anatomy books and gave away her stethoscope was a funeral for the woman she was supposed to be. Today, she works two exhausting retail jobs just to keep the lights on. The guy who walked away is an architect traveling the world. His life didn't even hit a speed bump. She carries the entire weight of a two-person mistake. You can’t force someone to give up their body and their future while the co-creator gets to just walk away.
