It’s a suspected gas leak at Farringdon Station reported around 9:42am. A few passengers felt unwell, so the station was evacuated. Armed police, London Fire Brigade and ambulance are on scene while they investigate. All trains/Tube/Elizabeth line services suspended until at least midday. Use nearby stations like City Thameslink or St Pancras. No injuries reported.

@DocklessObs Islington Council are planning on implementing 100 Hire Bike Bays (removing resident's parkings bays in the process) to solve such problems. Here's an example of a "successful" trial bay at Farringdon Station (red arrow). Bikes in the foreground have been dumped on the pavement.

Just seen something i've not seen before - a fake busker. A man 'playing' an electric violin near Farringdon tube. I'd noticed him before but never spent time watching his performance. He's not even a good faker. I'm surprised how angry this is making me feel.

@hansvan333 I think you are operating under something of a misapprehension - in Victoria at least we have spend many months in much stricter lockdown than the UK to get to this point - the suggestion Australians have spent the pandemic “going to restaurants, meeting 4 coffee” isn’t accurate
