A January 6th rioter pardoned by Trump was just sentenced to four years in prison for possessing more than 100,000 child sexual abuse images and videos.
His lawyers argued the case should be thrown out because of Trump’s pardon.
The presidential pardon power is a dangerous tool in the wrong hands, and Trump has made that abundantly clear.
Congress must act now to reform the pardon power before it does more damage.

ACLU National Executive Director Anthony Romero: If you are born in the USA, you are an American citizen. I was especially gratified that Trump was sitting a mere 6 feet away from me, and I hope he was schooled in the importance of birthright citizenship. I am confident that we will win this case and that the future of this country will be determined by our Constitution and not by the whim of a president who wishes to wipe away hundreds of years of precedent.

As we watch the historic launch of Artemis II today, I am incredibly proud of the role Colorado played in getting humanity back to space.
The Orion spacecraft, built from the work and materials of hard-working Coloradans, will carry four astronauts around the Moon. Colorado is proving that when we invest in science and innovation, we create high-paying jobs and inspire the next generation right here at home.
