Arsenal players based in London paid a visit to Xavi Simons, showing respect and support despite being city rivals. ⚽️ Even with the intensity of competition on the pitch, moments like this prove that humanity comes first off the pitch. It’s a powerful reminder that football is more than just rivalry—it’s about unity, respect, and standing by each other in difficult times. This is the true definition of humility coming first. 💙***** #Respect #FootballUnity #Arsenal #XaviSimons #LondonRivals #StayStrong #FootballFamily #sportsmanship

Benefit-sharing is the new benchmark in Carbon Markets. Across 5 countries - Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe - community rights and transparent benefit-sharing have moved from "nice-to-have" to legal requirements, a major shift toward climate justice. A recently published comparative analysis by @ShamisoMtisi and Dr. @chantelle_moyo reveals how 5 African nations are shaping high-integrity carbon markets. Download: zela.org/download/a-com… Also in the report: ➡️Following the troubled Kariba REDD+ project, Zimbabwe's new regulations require 20% minimum community investment, establish blockchain-based registry transparency, and domesticate the UN's Sustainable Development Tool. ➡️With its 2023 Climate Change Amendment Act, Kenya now mandates 40% of carbon revenues from land-based projects go directly to local communities. Community Development Agreements are legally required. ➡️Zambia's Forest Carbon Stock Management Regulations require public inspection of project documents, including baseline calculations and additionality proofs. Only genuinely commercially sensitive information can be withheld, a model for balancing investor confidentiality with community accountability. ➡️The African Union's Biodiversity Strategy (2023-2030) and the First Africa Biodiversity Summit (Botswana, 2025) signal growing interest in payment for ecosystem services (PES) and biodiversity offsets. The report notes these could become the next frontier alongside carbon markets, but warns that legal frameworks must catch up. @theGCF @AfClimateSummit @climatenewsrom @FordFoundation @SwedeninZW @UNEP @UNFCCC @Obertbore

My wife doesn’t want me to urinate while standing. She says men should sit on the toilet seat when urinating. She has her reasons something about how it affects the prostate, although I’m not really sure. She’s even sent me videos about it. She also says that when men “shake” after urinating, some urine can end up on the toilet seat, which might cause infections for ladies when they sit down afterward. Can someone educate me? Anyone with knowledge about this?

"Zimbabwe is amazing. Being able to visit one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World is unreal and a true blessing. I would like to sincerely thank the Honorable Minister and the entire Team at Victoria Falls and the Ministry for the warm hospitality.” These were the heartfelt words of the UN Tourism Secretary-General Ms Shaikha Al Nowais, as she signed the Visitors Book following her tour of the Victoria Falls Rainforest today. Clearly mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty and thunderous majesty of the Falls, her experience was further enriched with a taste of authentic Zimbabwean Cuisine during lunch at the iconic Victoria Falls Hotel, adding a flavorful touch to her immersive visit to Zimbabwe’s premier Tourism destination. In a symbolic gesture of Zimbabwean hospitality and Cultural Pride, the delegation was gifted the National Fabric by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Hon Barbara Rwodzi. #DrivingStructuralChangeInTheTourismSectorInAfrica #UNTourism #ExperienceZimbabwe #NhakaYedu #IlifaLethu #OurHeritage #ThisIsUs #ZimBho👍

December 2022 when I took my ZIFA Level 1 Coaching License, we had a panel from zifa and psl carrying out an inquiry activity as to how ‘new coaches’ think we should do to boost local football. My proposed solution was slashed gate fees (back then attendance was at its lowest, almost non-existent for lesser established clubs) to boost attendance, social media + YouTube, fan shops, fan engagement and controlled streaming platforms with revenue collection models (I actually have an App with this function out of many, but I don’t have stream source yet). It was dismissed as ‘nonsense and ridiculous’ especially by the older cavalry. They said what we need is sponsors and for the sponsors to bring in more money. Infact, they pointed out we actually need to increase gate fees, according to them ‘$5 is one of the cheapest football gate fees in the world’. My argument was, you are confusing sponsors with well-wishers. When sponsors put money, they expect something valuable to them in return. Sponsors love full stadiums and huge TV platforms. Fill stadiums and get an upper hand in negotiations. People pay for TV because it’s entertaining not as an obligation, football is not the army, patriotism doesn’t apply here. 45 years ago Man City were just the noisy neighbors with a few rogue fans, Arabs too over with a good sporting project, now they have fans more than most ‘historic clubs’ because they are entertaining. 1 madhala finally shut me up by flexing his extensive coaching and administrative experience coupled with the famous “Unondiudzei mwana wazuro iwewe, you think being in University means you are smarter than everyone else”. I still wanted my license so I didn’t say it out loud, but I did say “Not smarter than everyone else, but definitely smarter than you. That’s why in other countries, agemates with your profile are retired in millions of dollars or properties whilst you are arguing with fresh recruits. *Completely unrelated, the guy to your left hand side is Dickson Choto, he played for Legia Warsaw FC, for 10years.

When I agreed with Scottland owner, Scott Sakupwanya that there is need to increase sponsorship and prize winnings for clubs in the Premier League, thousands of pple engaged in the debate. Pple expressed diffident views and a huge number supported Scott’s views. I still stand by my viewpoint that the Premier League must do something to increase prize money for the clubs. A number of clubs then phoned me and I also I did a little investigation on how much clubs are spending per month to sustain their teams. Clubs like CAPS United, Scottland, Hardrock, FC Platinum, Mwos, Dynamos, Highlanders, Ngezi and Herentals spend a minimum US80k per month on salaries, winning bonuses and running costs. Other clubs use a minimum US$50k a month. One argument was that clubs should get money from TV rights and sponsorships. But in Zimbabwe TV rights are virtually non existent. There is no money to be derived from TV rights. Sponsorship is minimum. Sponsorship at clubs is not good enough and therefore prize money has to go a long way in helping the clubs sustain their operations. You can’t compare our league with that of the English Premiership whose clubs for example are guaranteed at least USD120m just for getting promotion from the Championship league. So at the end of it all Scott was point on and many pple agreed with his views. What also needs to be understood is that of the US$3 million sponsorship from Delta how much of it do the clubs benefit. Let’s put me money into our clubs.

Debutant David Hayes delivered a stellar performance. Long considered part of the Sables’ plans over the past two years, his involvement had been delayed by work commitments. On debut, however, he showcased a masterclass in game management, controlling play with his kicking and distribution, including a beauty of a 50-22 from his own goal line. Welcome to the Sables family.

#PiePatrol. Pepper steak pie from the @surrey_group ,Marondera Zimbabwe. So far it’s a draw, mangange between Surrey Pies and Oriental Pies of Bulawayo @CityofBulawayo . I just can’t anymore! They are delicious. Surrey wins on the flakiness ,glow and browning, just that edge. Oriental needs to add colour to these pastry. But both pie makers are doing the business. Next up ,I am going to Ballantyne Park,Harare to sample, once again,Pemcol pies. Pemcol is a little pie shop that has gained massive respect in the pie making business. @TeamFuloZim Surrey Pie US$4 #TheKingIsAround #HappinessIsOurBusiness
