Acts of terrorism are carried out by a small number of extremist individuals or groups and have nothing to do with the overwhelming majority of Muslims worldwide. In fact, many victims of terrorism are Muslims themselves. Ignoring this reality and assigning collective responsibility is nothing more than prejudice unsupported by facts. Furthermore, linking Islam itself to terrorism is also incorrect. One of the fundamental principles of Islam is the strict prohibition of taking innocent lives. It is essential to distinguish between the teachings of a religion and the extremist ideologies that distort and misuse it. Additionally, there is an inconsistency in this argument. If these countries and their people are truly considered “dangerous,” then one should also question maintaining diplomatic relations with them or the existence of their embassies in Japan. However, ignoring those aspects while targeting specific groups of people is merely selective and emotional criticism. Ultimately, such claims are not based on factual analysis but on prejudice. For a constructive discussion, it is necessary to distinguish between individual actions and entire groups, and to think calmly based on concrete facts.
