FYI there are 17 wind projects above 100 MW REIPPPP caps solar projects at 75 MW and Wind at 140 MW, IPPs can’t produce more. Wind IPPs proposed projects up to 500MW for the RFI response due 2 no MW cap. Wind has cobtributed 20 584 GWh to the grid, so they do make a difference.

DD Mabuza (Deputy President): IPPs, these are individuals supplying 5MW, 2MW there, 10MW there, nothing significant. There's not a single IPP that's producing 500MW, all are less than 100MW, some are less than 50MW. Whether they're there or not, they don't make a difference.
