Nick Calathes is still Florida’s all-time leader in assists per game.
He and Chandler Parsons were 5-star teammates at Lake Howell together - Calathes won Mr. basketball in the state of Florida for two years in a row.
But Calathes left Florida after his sophomore year to begin his pro career in Greece, while Parsons stayed, eventually became SEC Player of the Year and led Florida to an elite eight in 2011.

The “Red Mamba” was first team all SEC and academic all-American of the year (3.96 GPA) in 2003
He also shot an absurd 47.4% from 3 his senior year. Truly a Gator great 🐊

39 year old Al Horford drained 4 crucial three pointers in the final minutes during the Warriors play-in game on Wednesday.
He didn’t attempt a single 3 pointer while at Florida.
His longevity is incredible (one of only 4 players still playing from the 2007 draft class), but the way his game has evolved over time is even more impressive.

A crazy stat is that Walter Hodge, during his sophomore year in 2006, shot 50% from three. He’s not included above because he averaged less than two three-point attempts per game (only 1.7)

Florida’s loss to Michigan State in the national championship in basketball in 2000.

A quick comparison (to risk stating the obvious).
Momcilovic is an elite shooter and has the edge there (~49% from 3!), but both are in the 99th percentile of player ratings.
Haugh has the edge in just about every other non shooting stat (Reb, steals, assists, etc).

I don’t like it - Haugh is our guy. But if he leaves, id be pretty happy with Momcilovic.
