@Sir_Kevin_001 Step out into the sunlight... you'll see that it's incredibly bright compared to artificial light sources... Render and DLSS are captured in the same way... the method doesn't favor either one; you can compare them

For the idiots who criticize DLSS 5... take this example from Hogwarts... a “45-year-old kid” in a dynamic scene from the game... the “artistic vision” suffers greatly in favor of incredible graphics 😅😂🤣

@YahtzeeMail In conventional ray tracing, you don't get those details because it doesn't simulate enough rays... DLSS doesn't simulate rays... it's trained to mimic how they interact with the scene.

@YahtzeeMail To you, the render without DLSS looks more natural??? After all, there’s a window behind the character, light is reflecting off the walls and illuminating the face… not uniformly like in the render… but with various nuances, just like with DLSS.

@YahtzeeMail If your theory were true, the image would look unnatural... because the brain is adapted to seeing images with the correct direction of light... but that's not the case; it looks more natural than... an image generated purely by a engine.

What DLSS 5 does to the floor is pure magic: It perfectly captures the softness of the reflections. It adds so many subtle lighting, shadow details to the image. Look of the shadow under the couch—“uniform machine-generated”, with DLSS, the shape and shade look natural.

@BereskyEric @TrueGamer1111 Proper lighting has so many nuances that it’s impossible to implement it in a game engine capable of running on low-end hardware... The AI is designed to figure out these patterns... as you can see, it does an amazing job... it’s like the perfect Reshade “natural light” presset

@BereskyEric @TrueGamer1111 You're either blind or stupid... look at the face... in the render, it's flat, uniform, and almost exactly the same color... the engine can't handle backlighting... when the AI model applies a gradient, the face immediately gains depth and natural look.

We have perfectly good tech that can help increase your framerates and visual fidelity. We have tonemapping, and tons of post processing options. DLSS5 has no place. There was nothing wrong with previous scaling tech, it looks perfectly good without hallucinating the artwork.
