Easy to assume Bills traded down from 26 because a couple guys they wanted went right before them (KC/Thieneman). Maybe. But I think it was even more about Texans really wanting Rutledge to add to very much needed revamped OL, and knowing other teams were interested. It's why they gave up more than usual for that move.

Asked Auston Matthews’ agent, Judd Moldaver about his response to the ruling. Here is his reply: “In light of the obvious severity of the play, I am disappointed and shocked the league would allow such a ruling. A phone hearing and 5 games is laughable and preposterous. While the process is set in our CBA, that this was the discipline is reckless and ridiculous. This decision results in a further loss of confidence in the disciplinary process for all players. Players and fans deserve better. The Player Safety Department should be suspended.”

Here are the rules about interviews with coaches of teams in the SB: “Teams cannot schedule initial interviews with candidates employed by AFC or NFC Championship participants until the end of the employer team’s season, and the employer teams cannot voluntarily grant permission to their coaches to participate in interviews.” I don’t see anything here about virtual. Brandon Beane said they’d have to wait if a team is in the SB, but I’m open to interpretations here.
