Currently working on my porfolio. I decided to do the blueprint/prototype of it in unity first so i can test faster how it should look, feel and change on different screen size. Gonna rebuild it in ReactJS now or whatever is cool these days #gamedev

Theoretically, I should be able to project this on the wall and roof (perspective and all) if I match the projector position to a virtual camera position. I'll have to investigate this soon.

Gonna take a break from game dev to do some renovations in our new home. Here's a rough first sketch for the entrance hall. I've not done much physical painting before, and definitely nothing near this scale. Gonna be a fun steep learning curve

Still in awe at the M series chips. The whole world spent 15 years thinking Intel was dumping dozens of billions of dollars into R&D to eek out incremental returns on SoTA architecture and then Apple pulled off the covers and discovered they had everyone sitting around farting

@BartekMoniewski It seems like people don’t realize that you can have control over the update loop by simply not implementing Update.. but instead having your own update method. This way you can split the code and not rely on regions.

That's great architecture. The MonoBehaviour cloud recommended by Unity is a sign that Unity has never created a game. Maintaining code, testing, debugging, profiling is much more difficult than it should be with their approach. And it does not scale at all.

@megaFIKUS @IdanRooze Looks like a fullscreen postprocessing effect. 1. You have an extra camera that renders visible blobs onto a render texture (a circle around the player + the big circle), then use that in a shader for masking. 2. Add some noise. 3. … 4. Profit!

ShaderGraph gles compiled code always output version 300, why it is not 320?! It makes me SO ANGRY. Also in case I haven't said this yet: it's impossible to control shader precision with shadergraph. Half of the variables remains full precision even if everything is set to half
