HAPPENING NOW: Over 2.5 million people remain without power after Hurricane Helene completely demolished the Southeast. At least 65 people have been k*lled with a third of the de*ths being from falling trees. President Joe Biden's X account announced that he is in "constant contact" with local officials and will "continue to support response and recovery efforts." Local officials are trying to locate missing people as the de*th toll is expected to climb. Buncombe County Manager Avril Pinder says 1,000 people are reported missing in her county however she is confident that number will drop. Cell service for over 250,000 people was cut off as North Carolina cities like Asheville are still underwater. More than 200 people in North Carolina have been rescued by helicopters. Wow, I’m blessed beyond belief to have witnessed @DeionSanders giving me a shoutout telling me he’s proud of me and all the work I do especially with the adversity I deal with from my physical disability. I’ve had more struggles than I could’ve imagined in my short life but I’ve always been determined to make my dream a reality and it’s coming true in front of me and Coach Prime helped me realize that even more.
