I will be voting NO on final passage of the FISA 702 Reauthorization Bill if it does not include a warrant provision and other reforms to protect US citizens’ right to privacy. Yesterday I offered these 3 amendments to fix the program, but they were not allowed last night.

She was literally scheduled to interview the Vice President of the United States. Unless these alleged threats came from a foreign state, I simply do not believe that the Secret Service and her private security team could not keep her safe in a closed auditorium… in which every audience member was issued an actual ticket (which was issued in exchange for their contact information) and then screened upon entrance by law enforcement.

Andrew Kolvet says they had to make the very difficult decision to cancel Erika Kirk’s appearance yesterday because threats indicated she would have been assassinated. The security team told Erika Kirk they could not guarantee her safety. Kolvet says he is shaken to his core knowing that Erika Kirk’s children are one parent away from being orphans. “This is the first time we’ve ever had to make that decision in Turning Point history.”
