People ask what Enzo does but they don't realize with Palmer away for a lot of the season and even Enzo himself since last year under Maresca he's turned into the creative heart beat of the team. This is not about yesterday because even with Enzo, the balance of the team around might just not be good enough to stop the City onslaught. Enzo's chance creation metrics have been one of the best in the premier league since last season. Palmer doesn't have the connections he used to have in this team. Enzo has built his own. Passes to JP. Garnacho for example, and Enzo has perfected the art of arriving late for a cross and playing more through balls. It's in stark difference to Palmer not being as intuitive as he normally is without connections which he doesn't have enough of now.

Some of you thought we were competitive because of Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Caicedo, or Reece James… that’s the real joke. Enzo Maresca had his flaws, no doubt.. but he was the most competitive manager we’ve had since Thomas Tuchel. He delivered two trophies to a club that had gone almost four years without one but it was Chelsea that gave him those trophies. The Clearlake Chelsea that didn’t give Lampard, Potter, and Poch any trophy and top a four finish should better give Rosenior o. Chai!
