hey, i'm looking for a work-study position in ui/ux design starting september 2026, in paris or rennes, france. i'm tom, 18. i run a small freelance practice with international clients and i've been lead designer on an open-source app that's done really well in france. i also share redesign concepts here sometimes, you might've seen one float around ! i care about the details, the kind of stuff that makes an interface feel right without anyone noticing. i want to join a team where i can learn and keep pushing my craft. if this reaches the right person, thank you. and if you just rt, thank you too 🤍

what's the use of getting a google pro subscription if I can't get work done throughout today. I'm not even going to get an ultra, ultra customers are also complaining they should fix this qouta problem. we really can't continue like this.

what's wrong with @antigravity with the new qouta update? I waited for my hours baseline qouta to be refreshed only for not only to be restored but I also don't get any qouta until after 6 days.

not working on app.fun anymore post mortem: - app.fun was supposed to be a "youtube for apps". Thesis: as the cost of creating software approaches zero, a new class of creators will emerge on the internet and app.fun could be their platform. Similar to @wabi. - I still believe in this thesis and would love to back someone like me working on it. - As i I built the MVP and started showing it to friends, I realized: 1. subsidizing LLM costs for free-tier users will require a ton of capital very early. 2. I don't feel excited enough about this to hard commit and work on it for the next few years. I'm happy I played with the idea. It turned out to be a fun engineering side project. spent $3k on the domain. If anyone wants to buy it from me please dm

Two years ago Marc and I started asking what a YouTube for apps could look like 42 apps later and we’re slowly grasping the new world Appstar is a new creative class, an artist that speaks about culture and life, using software as their artistic medium. This week we decided it’s time to start giving this class the tools they need. Appstar is a place to build a fanbase around your software. For now we’re inviting people we genuinely admire. If this feels like you DM us to become an Appstar and get an emblem :)

bold pivot from shareable micro-apps but i respect it
Waabi@Waabi_ai

Today, we are thrilled to announce that we have raised $1B USD of new capital to accelerate commercial progress in autonomous trucks and expand to robotaxis! For the first time in the industry, this enables one shared brain to power both applications—trucks and robotaxis. This means any progress in one vertical directly improves the other. This funding includes an oversubscribed $750M Series C round led by @khoslaventures and @G2VPLLC, as well as additional capital from @Uber tied to robotaxi development. We are excited to work with Uber to deploy 25,000 or more Waabi Driver-powered robotaxis on the Uber platform, substantially accelerating the adoption of robotaxis at scale. Thank you to our incredible team, investors, partners, and customers for helping us achieve this milestone. Here's to pioneering the future of Physical AI, together.

Wholesome twist where AI starts getting used to practice exams rather than cheat on exams
Google@Google

We’re launching full-length, on demand practice exams for standardized tests in @GeminiApp, starting with the SAT, available now at no cost. Practice SATs are grounded in rigorously vetted content in partnership with @ThePrincetonRev, and Gemini will provide immediate feedback highlighting where you excelled and where you might need to study more. To try it out, tell Gemini, “I want to take a practice SAT test.”

I’ve never told this story before (at least not the complete one) I’ve built apps that made millions. Grown accounts to a million followers. Sold companies. Almost got expelled, sued, had my cofounder nearly deported. You’ve maybe seen the highlights. But I never talked about why I was running so hard in the first place. When you grow up as the son of immigrant parents who can’t afford to fix the plumbing - when you learn that the version of you that exists isn’t the one people want - you get good at becoming whoever the room needs. That skill got me my first wins. It also made me disappear. Every app I built was me proving I deserved to be here. Every win was a permission slip I was writing myself. I thought if I just sold one more app, bought my parents that house, made it undeniable - then I’d finally be allowed to live. It took solo traveling Asia for four months and a year of self-sabotage to realize grace isn’t earned. It’s already yours. But you have to receive it. † I recently moved to NYC to build something for people like me. For people who learn by creating, by doing, by failing. I joined @wabi because it’s the YouTube of software - just people expressing themselves through a new medium. Because looking back, that’s what I was doing with my “viral apps” - telling a story of what I thought should exist. That same instinct is what got me here. This video is the first thing I’ve made for myself in a while (ty @thesimonkim) If any of this sounds familiar - I made this for you. Let’s play
