Do the hood grannies still run in home daycares? Because baby… they used to be EVERYTHING. Them babies was fed, potty trained, knew their ABCs, and got fussed at just enough to stay in line. They might’ve had a little cereal in their bottle, watched Maury all day, and about 12 kids in a two bedroom, but they were loved, safe, and somebody was watching them like a hawk. And it was AFFORDABLE! We lost the recipe when Ms Linda stopped keeping kids.

As I get older, I see it all as a blessing. Getting to turn 40,50,60 and beyond means I’m still here for my kids. 🤍

@MCoveteur I hate that. Some of these parents had a better economy to work with than their children, but are preventing their kids from building their own generation wealth because they’re reaching back to take care of them. SMH

i have peers paying mortgages/bills/healthcare expenses for their parents and i just 🥺🥺 how are you supposed to build your nest egg when you’re taking care of grown people
