I love to hear the truth, because it has to be said and must be said irrespective of who is involved.

@ShaykhSulaiman This is fake news...the US would never agree to these terms. We have the upper hand-Iran is the one that must surrender. Negotiations are centered on how surrender will be implemented. Call it what you will but the US isn't going anywhere with these terms

CEASEFIRE UPDATE: IRAN-U.S DRAFT PROPOSAL ✅ Iran agrees to a 15-year enrichment suspension, with the exception of research reactors for medical isotopes. ✅ Iran’s stockpile of 60% and 20% uranium would be partially converted to reactor fuel, and partially ‘downblended’ to a lower enrichment level. However, it won’t leave Iran. ✅ Full IAEA supervison on Iran’s nuclear sites. ✅ Opening the Strait of Hormuz, with the possibility of collecting tolls. ✅ The U.S. will offer Iran phased sanctions relief ✅ The U.S. will unfreeze all Iranian assets currently frozen abroad, amounting to $20 Billion or more. ✅ The U.S. will commit to a non-aggression pact with Iran that is ensured through a UN National Security Council resolution and a treaty ratified by Congress. ✅ The U.S. will withdraw all its military forces from the Persian Gulf. @ennyola0015 This is one of the areas that the knowledge of Civic Education is lacking in Nigeria and not just understanding of basic Economics. This should be incorporated into the national curriculum right from the Primary school. Also, National Orientation Agency has a big role to play.

Only people who understand basic economics tend to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms✍️ that’s why elites and international institutions back him. But for those focused on day-to-day survival🤔 it’s not funny at all. Elites think long-term stability Average citizens think “can I eat this week?”

@DotunSalako @FinPlanKaluAja1 The poster said that something is wrong, you writing about what happened in the past without condemnation of the act, meaning you approve of it. You finally concluded it by saying that politics is a game, typical of Ronu-Nazis. Una must sink the country to be worse than Haiti.

Atiku hires US firm for $1.2m to 'strengthen his reputation, counter FG lobbying' Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has hired Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C., a Washington-based lobbying firm, to protect and strengthen his “reputational standing” in the United States. The contract agreement was signed by Karl Von Batten, the managing partner at the firm, and Fabiyi Oladimeji, a Nigerian politician, on March 9 and 10, 2026, respectively. Details in comment section.

@ruffydfire It’s not propaganda. It’s simply your poor understanding of how government works and how the media reports it. In May 2024, ₦3.3 trillion was approved after vetting Gencos’ claims. In April 2026, that same ₦3.3 trillion was approved for payment. You’ll still see more headlines

A memo to Mr onanuga from Nigeria observes The receipts are in. And they are damning. On Friday May 17, 2024, Nigeria’s Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu announced at the 8th Africa Energy Marketplace in Abuja that President Tinubu had approved part payment of all power sector debts estimated at N3.3 trillion. Same figure. Same announcement. Same government. Different date. May 17 2024: N3.3 trillion approved. July 2025: N4 trillion bond approved. May 2025: $122 billion policy approved. January 2026: N501 billion bond issued. April 6 2026: N3.3 trillion approved again as “full and final settlement.” The Association of Power Generation Companies confirmed that most GenCos refused to sign the government’s settlement agreements because they conflicted with existing power purchase agreements. Only five generating companies signed, largely government-affiliated ones. So the 2024 announcement didn’t work. The debt kept growing. From 2015 to December 2024 the debt grew to N4 trillion. By March 2026 it had reached N6.8 trillion, growing by N200 billion every single month. They announced N3.3 trillion in May 2024. The debt grew by N2 trillion more between then and now. And the solution is to announce N3.3 trillion again. Tinubu visited Jos to condole with massacre victims in April 2026 and told the audience he was leaving in 10 minutes because the airport had no electricity. The President approving billions to fix electricity cannot stay 10 minutes at a Nigerian airport because there is no electricity. This is not governance. This is a press release recycling programme. 🇳🇬

Tinubu spoke at Eagle Square and the fact-checkers went to work immediately. State allocations tripled? Mostly true. But tripled naira allocations during hyperinflation is not prosperity. It is inflation wearing a bigger number. Subsidy removal stabilised the economy? Debatable. Tell that to the man spending ₦300,000 on fuel weekly and the family eating once a day. Nigeria ranks second in renewable energy behind India? Completely false. Not even close. China, USA, and Brazil would like a word. APC remains intact? True. But a party that stays together to share power while Nigerians suffer is not a success story. It is a coalition of interests protecting itself. Laser-focused on results? The lights are still off. The soldiers are still dying. The fuel is still ₦1,450. A convention is not governance. A speech is not delivery. Eagle Square looked full. Nigeria still feels empty. 👀 Nigeria observers

The Bitter Truth They Ever Refute. A fresh wave of political controversy has erupted as Anthony Sani, former Secretary-General of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has delivered a sharp rebuke aimed at Peter Obi and sections of his support base, accusing them of consistently portraying Nigeria in a negative light while still seeking national leadership. Speaking in a strongly worded statement released via his Facebook page, Sani warned that no political figure can afford to spend years “talking down” on Nigeria and later expect to be entrusted with power by the same people and system they have criticised. According to the elder statesman, leadership in a complex and diverse country like Nigeria requires more than criticism—it demands visible confidence in the nation’s future, along with the ability to unite citizens across ethnic, religious, and regional divides. He stressed that aspiring leaders must be mindful of their public messaging both locally and internationally, noting that how a nation is presented on the global stage can significantly impact its reputation and internal cohesion. Drawing from Nigeria’s democratic history, Sani argued that leaders who gained broad acceptance were those who balanced constructive criticism with a strong sense of national optimism. He maintained that criticism should be aimed at strengthening institutions rather than projecting hopelessness. “You cannot spend years talking down on Nigeria and suddenly expect to be handed power,” Sani stated. “Leadership is about promoting hope, unity, and practical solutions—not deepening division or amplifying despair.” In a further escalation of his remarks, Sani also took aim at what he described as the conduct of a “loud segment” of supporters linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). He alleged that their activities—particularly on social media—have increasingly been marked by hostility, including ethnic slurs, online harassment, and personal attacks against Nigerians with opposing political views. He warned that such behaviour undermines democratic values and weakens any political movement’s credibility, arguing that disagreement in a democracy should not be treated as betrayal. According to Sani, the trend reflects a failure to engage in meaningful dialogue, replacing persuasion with aggression—an approach he believes cannot win the trust of a broad and diverse electorate. He further criticised what he termed a sense of “entitlement” within certain political circles, questioning how any group can expect nationwide support while exhibiting intolerance toward dissenting voices. Reaffirming his stance, Sani concluded that anyone seeking to lead Nigeria must demonstrate respect for all citizens, foster unity, and project unwavering belief in the country’s potential. As political tensions continue to build ahead of future elections, his remarks are likely to intensify ongoing debates around political messaging, national image, and the standards expected of those aspiring to lead Africa’s most populous nation.
