@staplestodda @BillShanks Pretty sure shohei had the internal brace instead of opting for a 2nd Tommy John, similar to strider. Shohei is a unicorn though. Nick Anderson & Zach Britton were 2 others I know who has it, but not much success after.

@BillShanks Bottom line, Strider is hosed. This brace contraption? Who is the medical genius who thought that would work out for a fast ball pitcher? If he does make it back, what is that arm going to handle? 3-4 innings, 80-84mph pitches?

Now here is another question that might be dumb regarding Strider. Mark Bowman reports there is no structural damage. Okay, that’s great. But if the internal brace replaces the UCL, then there can no longer be structural damage in that location, right? So, could this be a mechanical issue with the brace itself?
