Regardless of what happens, the Tampa Bay Lightning have emptied the tank tonight.
They've played a great game. A little bit of bad puck luck along the way.
Having said that, Julien BriseBois has to regret not getting help for this power play at the deadline.
@957WDAE@TKras End of an era if they lose? No. End of the roster as constructed? For sure. Bagel, Cirelli, Moser under contract for a while and that's good. Anyone else should be traded if an overwhelming package was offered. Example: Lightning getting a bunch of first round picks for Point.
Before Taylor & after Elvis: Michael Jackson.
TBH, I’m not sure Taylor or Elvis made fans faint on site.
Regardless what you think, MJ’s talent was ridiculously insane, his live performances would still hold up today & he had the most diehard fans!🤯

Notre Dame safety Joey O’Brien, a five-star in the class of 2027, used crutches to walk off the field after Saturday’s Blue-Gold Game.
He just posted this photo to his Instagram stories.
@SamuelBCohen I dont think the majority of people discredit the Habs, but the effort by the Bolts was lacking. They were not sharp. Leaving oucks sit behind the goal on miscommunication.. bad passes. Lazy turn overs. That's the criticism.
A lot of people (myself included) are quick to blame the #GoBolts effort last night.
We all need to collectively take a step back and realize, the Habs deserve credit for playing better hockey.
They’ve been better on FOs, Blocking Shots, line changes, etc. They deserve credit.
@scrotusIII@sgreene533@PierreVLeBrun@TheAthletic Perry is old. But we purposely got him for this moment. We need to look at new blood and younger. Can't keep getting yesterdays success story in players.
NEW for @TheAthletic, the Lightning need some of their top veteran stars to step it up or else a fourth consecutive first-round awaits. It starts with Nikita Kucherov ⤵️⤵️

Last night’s game was very deflating. Nobody outside of a handful of players looked like they ever got out of second gear during the entire duration of the game. Really, really disheartening. A potential elimination game in Montreal is about as worst case scenario as imaginable.
On March 17, the Tampa Bay Lightning scored 2 goals in SEA in 1st period.
Led game 2-0 entering 2nd.
Since then, a span of 21 games, the Bolts have not scored 2 goals in a 1st period.
They have lost the 1st by a combined 20-9 score.
Have not won a 1st in 20 straight games.
@Lady_Laurie_Qc@WeTheThunderPod Bro give him a break. Trying to make sense of a 4 year collapse. If blue or yellow towels help, then by all means we need them.
As mentioned by Thomas Schooley last night WHY does the team insist on WAVING THE WHITE FLAG at home playoff games?
We literally have been giving out white towels fan fans to wave...bad omen. We can't think of anything else?
@lafoser2@Diandra_loux I dont think anyone on the team is discounting the talent and effort of the Habs. But you cant say the effort from the Bolts was worth a damn. And that was his point and focus. Habs are a really good team. Reminds me of a team a few years back.
Brandon Hagel on last night’s game:
“I just didn't think we executed our game plan, which is sad to be honest, it's Game 5 in your own building to take the series and we didn't give a full 60. I mean, that's cliche to say, but it's more the little mistakes that cost us goals and we’ve got to do better job at that, especially in those situations.” #GoBolts
This will be the first Indy 500 since 1957 without an Andretti, Foyt, or Unser in the field.
Coincidentally, it will be the first one in history with a Schumacher behind the wheel.

@Gabby_Shirley_ We have needed guys to step up since game 1. To say that now when facing elimination, seems off. Some players had good game tonight, but point has not been good for a while.
Brayden Point on his play in this series: "We need other guys to score and I haven't been able to do it. It is frustrating but you just try to keep doing the right things and working hard. We're going to need myself and other guys to step up for sure"
