40-year-old woman from Gorakhpur p, who is a mother of four, returned home after leaving her family to live with a man she met on Instagram. The incident happened in a village under the Campierganj police station area. Around ten days ago, the woman left her husband and children and went to stay with a 28-year-old man from the nearby Maniram area. According to police, the woman and the man first connected on Instagram. Over time, their online conversations turned into a romantic relationship. Eventually, she decided to leave her home and go with him. When she suddenly disappeared, her family became worried and started searching for her but could not find any information at first. Later, they learnt that she was living with the man in a rented house in the Pipiganj area. Her children and other family members made an emotional appeal, asking her to return home.  Despite their emotional appeals, she initially refused and insisted on staying with her partner. During the discussion, the children’s emotional requests and persuasion by family members eventually convinced the woman to reconsider her decision. The story began on Jan 22 when a resident of Alwara lodged a missing complaint of his 28-year-old wife with Mahewa Ghat police station, claiming that she left the house after leaving both the kids at home. However, the woman's father lodged an FIR against him on Feb 20 under sections of BNS and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Act, accusing him of torturing his daughter for dowry, killing her and later concealing her body. Fearing police action, he surrendered before a court on Feb 27 and had been lodged at the district jail in Manjhanpur since then. During the investigation, police got a tip that the missing woman was in touch with her cousin. Through electronic surveillance and other resources, the police recovered the woman from a rented house of her cousin in the Manesar area of Haryana. Actually, the woman had an affair with her cousin. She had eloped with him in Aug 2024 but returned after two days. Police claimed that the woman's family lodged a fake case against her husband. On the complaint of Raju's father, an FIR was registered against the woman's father, brother and cousin for misleading the police with a fake case. Her father and brother were arrested for filing a fake case and misleading the police. The man had surrendered in court, but is now out of jail. CAN YOU JUST BELIEVE???
