@jayprasad Ah hard luck 😔 Surprised they didn’t notify you before sending it back. I actually haven’t checked if they have sent at my address yet. Did you get any mails from fedex before or did it just show up?

@VFSGlobal @CGI_Atlanta Please do due diligence before rejecting passport renewal applications. In 2017, Burdwan district (West Bengal) was bifurcated into two: Purba and Paschim Bardhaman. Please save applicants from hassles.

@jayprasad Indeed. Do they say it was rejected and they are sending your app back to you though? Or are they expecting you to post something to them? Let me know if you hear anything and I will do likewise.

@gujars We are awaiting the following documents 1YOUR APPLICATION IS REJECTED . THE PLACE OF BIRTH ON NRI FORM IS WRONG

@jayprasad If you don’t mind me asking, how did you come to know about the rejection? Did they give you any instructions on what’s next? They sent me an email saying they are awaiting an extra doc but haven’t really told me how/where to submit

@vfsglobalcare Thanks. Much appreciated. VFS has not provided contact details (phone no or email id) there. There is an intake form to complete. I completed that. I request @IndianEmbassyUS to provide guidance to VFS in these matters (renaming or bifurcating a district).
