Fellow citizens. It is high time we call things by their true names. Communists are not Democrats they are Communists. Socialists are not Democrats they are Socialists. Those who embrace these doctrines have no rightful claim to the Democrat ticket. Let them stand openly upon their own banner that truth and the good sense of a free people may judge them. So too with foreign powers and their proxies (Iran and its instruments Hamas and Hezbollah, China and Russia with their ghost ships upon the seas and private armies abroad). Where abundant evidence shows a nation directs or sustains such forces we must deem the proxy and the sponsoring country as one and the same. No masquerade of separation can be suffered lest deception invite corruption into the temple of self government. To suffer false colors in our elections or upon the world stage is to weaken the vital principle of republics. Let every actor appear in his true character. Truth not artifice must guide the judgments of a sovereign people. Peace commerce and honest friendship with all nations entangling alliances and hidden tyrannies with none.
