It takes an average of $54,000,000 to create one permanent job in a U.S. data center.

what unpopular opinion can put you in this position??

They will be laughing no longer!

Kevin O'Leary's proposed data center in Utah will require 9 Gigawatts of energy to function when fully built, double Utah's current energy usage for the entire state. It will dump around 23 atomic bombs worth of thermal load on the environment every day.

@BoxScore_FB That brings us back to the importance of scheduling. Alabama isn’t subject to the same situation as BYU because it had wins over two other CFP teams. We argue about the same stuff every year and people still can’t see how the sport fundamentally works.

I don't know how you can write an article like this without basically sitting down and saying "I am going to lie to my readers today." I really truly don't understand what's going through the minds of people who write this stuff.

There are so many insane wildly misleading stories coming out about data centers almost every day now that I'm mostly having to give up on commenting on them to focus on actually getting blog posts out, but it feels like a tsunami. I'll share one from just today as an example.

People still aren’t processing how insane this is. They’re weaponizing the 'Military Authority' to fast-track the largest data center on Earth in Utah and using “military operations” & “national security” to shut down any public opposition. “Diabolical” is an understatement.

The massive Utah data center, called the Stratos Project, will be as big as 2,000 Walmarts, will need 9GW of electricity to run, and will generate the heat equivalent of 23 atom bombs detonating every single day in Hansel Valley. The expected impact of wildlife is catastrophic. sltrib.com/news/environme…
