Hey @TO_Cycling_Ped @BeckyKatz96, I love the narrowed road and raised crosswalk outside the Gerrard Ashdale library! More everywhere please! Is this a pilot, or a new standard for road rebuilds? (A guy can dream...)

@ronmortgageguy @TimNashCFP There is a large segment of the population that would love to get on a bike but feel unsafe. If you are forced to use a car to get around you should want as many people out of their cars and onto bikes. Toronto streets can only handle so many cars.

@TimNashCFP You get that some people CAN'T get out of their cars right? Some people will NEVER get on a bike The old, the unwell, people with limited mobility Or just plain people who were raised in a world where "Car" wasn't a dirty word and choose not to be FORCED to get on a Bike

@BoomerandEcho @PWLCapital If you have a pre-existing mortgage on your primary residence, and then move out and rent that property instead, does the mortgage interest become tax deductible?

@DaveLikesBikes @BicycleMayorTO I use this route on my commute and appreciate your effort. The MGT with the Commissioners detour isn't that bad depending on where you are starting/ending.

One last thing: I don't pay for a checkmark and took a 5 month break from Twitter. I don't think I show up on many feeds now. Going to tag one other local eastender who would be invested in this @BicycleMayorTO

Spent 15 minutes this morning documenting some of the bike traffic under the bridge on Dundas E just past Logan. Last summer City Council approved the closure of these lanes in both directions at this spot for at least 18 months (for Metrolinx work) secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda… 1/

@BoomerandEcho May 2021 everyone wanted hedged ETFs because the dollar was obviously going to par. A month ago the dollar was obviously going to 0.60

@StephenPunwasi How much have prices rose over the last 7 months? Inflation since July 2022 has been right at 3%.

Bank of Canada says inflation will be back to 3% mid-year. The BOC was wrong the past 14 forecasts, so it has to be right this time.

(and because people will mention it, this is not a finished product. There are curbs that were removed to accommodate the work and the safe assumption is they will be put back when it is complete)

Last week, many noticed the driving lane on Dundas E after Broadview was being resurfaced, but the bike lane wasn't getting the same treatment. I emailed the local councillor's office (@PaulaFletcherTO), as did others. They asked the city to expand the work 1/

@electgarwood A "Third Place" is incredibly important in order to establish a sense of community and they are far less common in today's North American society. Hold on tightly if you have one. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_pla…

@DGClark27 Hitching along for the ride, not a BTC guy either. Main reason for buying seems to be the belief that someone will pay more for it later, placing it in speculation territory for me. The technology may well be revolutionary, haven't see a risk appropriate way to capture the value

In the 4 years I've been hosting pub trivia, my big ol' trivia spreadsheet says I've just passed a milestone, writing my 6,000th question. Sometimes I get asked for tips & tricks about hosting trivia, so if that's the sort of thing you're interested in, here goes!

@DrAaronRock @chris_synesael @RebelNewsOnline I'm really curious how you get to the conclusion the vaccine sucks. The objective numbers in Ontario are clear. Risk of hospitalization and ICU are reduced by 92-96%. Unvaccinated pop is much younger so true age adjusted benefit is almost certainly better.

@chris_synesael @RebelNewsOnline I know you know that the vaccine sucks. It’s works for a few months then needs a booster. Also, side effects are well known, especially for groups at least risk for covid deaths.

@DrAaronRock If you want to disregard scientific arguments in favor of moral ones that's fine. But it is pretty clear that you find Dr Bridle trustworthy because he is putting forth an argument you agree with.
